Sorry for the delay w/ pix of mine.
I think that the Rustoleum color is dead on.

I wasn't feeling it w/ the color matched emblem, after these pics were taken I shot it w/ metallic charcoal which has a little contrast w/ the black grill.
I'll be doing a grill insert soon, so it's not that big a deal.

BTW the Rustoleum charcoal is damn near OEM as well, if not right on the money.

Pressure washing the chrome off works amazing! A little time consuming. But worth doing to avoid re-doing the whole paint job.

Exactly, that's why I'm doing myself and saving money. Took me 2 hrs to strip, prime, and paint. Minus materials that is $75 an hour. If you can't do it yourself that is fine. Don't pretend like you have better things to do with your time.

Why would I want your surround?

    How'd you prep it?
Also when you did the clear did you wet sand between each coat or just put each coat and then wet sanded last one?
    Looks amazing!

So, I commute at least two hours a day. Let's assume I work 8 even though I work more at home. Try to see the wife some, but she works late too. Skill? Oh, I grew up restoring cars with my father. Got the paint part covered. Nothing better to do with my time... I'll buy the color matched grill every time.

Really good job on painting the grill.

I'm too lazy and ordered a White color matched grill. No sanding, priming, painting, drying, retouching.... just installing :)

I like my black grill but I always wanted a color matched grill and at $180 it's kind of hard to beat. It will be here Wednesday.

Painted the POS skid plate to match until I decide to get full skids for the truck.

This looks great. I have an SR5 and would like to color match the grill, mirrors, and replace the tailgate handle with a color matched pop'n'lock.

I (also) am probably just going to order a new grill already painted Barcelona Red, but I also would like to do a Satoshi style grill insert and maintain the ability to return to stock if desired/needed, so that will just work out better. But I will definitely look into this for the mirrors and tailgate handle.

    FYI-
Two and a half years later and the rustoleum still looks great, had a couple of rock chips to touch up and I didn't use the UV clear so there's a tad of yellow tint, but only I notice it.

Yeah I'm not going to do anything. I had to buy new headlights because they would not stand behind something wrong. I'm going to wait to see if they come out with it. If they do I think it will be my next truck IMG_2140.jpg
