After reading this I Googled "Dodge 2500 on 35"'s" & DAMN they look good.

As for MPG, Ford got caught. Who knows what other manufacturer is doing it also & just haven't been caught yet.

My view EXACTLY. You can't have your cake & eat it to.

And I'll take your truck over any Eco-Boost any day.

BTW, Are Jeeps the only vehicles to still offer straight axles up front on their 4X4's?

Are all F150/F250's, Silverado 1500/2500's, & Ram 1500/2500's using CV axles up front?

Fink, is yours straight axle or not?

I wonder if they have the same front diff/vibe issues when lifting the suspension that the 4X4 Taco's do?

All superduty (250's and up) 4x4's are solid axle, the 150's still use IFS with CV axles. I think it started in 08 where it's no longer leaf springs up front but these huge support arms coming from under the cab to the front axle. I've read some people complain about wobble at highway speeds and slight pull but I didn't notice anything too drastic. Besides...it's like a mini semi when driving on highway cause it's so big, it tends to veer a little.

I had to sign some papers saying I acknowledge its a federal law not to tamper with emission equipment on the truck or it'll void my warranty and could be charged huge fines. But couple buddies of mine have them and can almost get 20mpg and a TON more HP and torque out of them by removing a lot of the added emission stuff and tuning them. They built these big engines but limit the exhausts so it more or less suffocates and causes issues with the engines because they can't function at normal operation.

from what i know most the 2500/350 and bigger and be had in both IFS and solid axle. maybe only the 2wd come in IFS and all 4wd are solid but not sure.
all the emission stuff is BS and just a way for the government to control us. imo. they try and say you get better fuel milage but you don’t! ethanol in gas sucks and makes you get worse mpg! If they would just stop putting it in fuel ALL cars and truck would probably get 3 to 5+ mpg. I have used it a few times and just check how many miles i get to a tank. i have got anywhere between 20 and 45 more miles to a tank, depending on my driving that tank and if i was towing anything. oil companies love it because it makes us have to fill up more often, and they over charge for gas as it is.

also with the bigger truck, the pull maybe do to the road. the bigger tires and also A/T’s will tend to pull with the way the road is capped(very canter of road is higher than the edges) so water runs off. I get it pretty bad sometimes. i got it really bad when i went to charlotte NC, it was real flat and the it would pull to what ever side was closest to the edge of the road. I’d have to guess the roads around you probably are like this as well to help drain water off of them.

    OK. Thanks.

And I HATE ETHANOL ALSO! That's BS. It does last less as you stated!

yeah they use to say better fuel milage. well i think not. but instead of changing the engines in cars and trucks lets get rid of ethanol and get better mpg, can’t have both HP and good mpg, so lets keep the hp and change the mpg with the change of fuel.

Roads down here are sloped for drainage, very good point.

I figure I'll leave it how it is and if anything messes up, have the warranty take care of it. After it's over, upgrades!

    AGREED!

I work on US 441 & nw 202 st. When I drive 441 southbound my truck drifts to the right. Once I get on I-95 my truck drifts to the left since that's whee the drains are.

Yeah road here are as well but not very bad. but what i do remember from my trip to charlotte is the truck pulled a lot more than it dose here. it was also a little flatter. have also seen the truck do it when i was in Charleston sc. asked the dealer about it when i went in for an oil change and thats what they said, so i looked into it a little and it seams to be true.

So...really considering doing some sound deadening to the Tacoma. Thinking of buying 100ft^2 off Amazon and doing the roof, rear of the cab, doors, and possibly floorboards. Tests have shown about a 15-20db decrease in road noise by doing the entire vehicle. Also doubles as insulation for these hot summer days. Anyone else thought of doing this?

I have though about doing behind back seats. but i also took all the plastic out and have a bunch of stuff behind them. thought about it for sound and also so stuff will stop hitting the metal... not that i can hear it that much because the music is usually to loud also don’t really hear road noise...

also though about doing the doors when i do new door speakers front and back.

Well, that's part of it with me too. I like listening to the radio, and it would be nice if some of that road noise was a bit lower so I could enjoy it MORE. I know the AT tires I have aren't that loud, but they're defiantly louder than stock street tires.

Looking at being able to do almost all of my truck for $200
