Hey, I bought mine with 141,000 on it and it had vibrations.....I tried for a long time to figure out what it was, the forums provided all the information I needed to smooth her out....

OP, I would check these, tire balance, center support bearing, universal joints, front driveshaft, front output shafts....and also get the tranny flushed and refilled....somewhere in all this you will find the vibes...it could be as simple as the driveshaft needing some grease (general consensus around here is to grease the driveshaft with every oil change if your shafts have zerks)...or a tire balance, certainly much cheaper than just throwing in the towel...

I see you are talking maybe of a 6" lift, in itself you will be presented with problems with vibes that will need solving getting that all set up....have you researched the agony and cost of a 6" lift????

You did test drive it, yes?

who gives a fuck about a little vibration? has your truck or anyone elses for that matter fallen apart from this? no so its not a real problem. if you have to nit pick and make a huge deal about a minor annoyance than maybe you should buy a nice prius? otherwise keep driving your tacoma and man the fuck up.

How about you leave the poor kid alone. He has a good gripe about one of Toyota's biggest problems and a poke like you has to shoot his dumbass mouth off. Get a clue.

I have had one, never, ever again.
I would get everything checked out before I would sell, someone else may have screwed something up.

My last truck was a 1998 F150, great truck, put over 200,000 on it with very few problems.
I think this new Tacoma will have no problem going over 200,000.

My old Tundra, now owned by my neighbor, is still going strong at 215000. I agree with you. My Tacoma will hit that mark and hopefully much more. Changing all the fluids consistently should do it.

5000 thousand? You are going to spend five million dollars on a truck? Man, post some pictures here when you get it.

The Dodge Dakota my Tacoma has replaced was a 1988 and had around 220k miles on it. So they aren't all bad for sure. That said I love my new Tacoma thus far, but I do have high expectations for it.

^^^this. Regardless if you wanna sell the Toyota and downgrade to a Dodge, you should diagnose the problem. If I bought a Toyota from someone and it was vibrating, I'd be in the mood to kick some ass......then again, I'd test drive the hell out of it before I bought it. I bought my 2001 and it had 90,000 miles on it. I test drove it for about an hour. If you're spending thousands on something, you better check it out before hand. Moral of the story: figure out and fix the problem before you sell it or definitely let the potential buyer know about it.

Personally, I'd figure out the issue, fix it, and keep driving it, as it's probably something minor.

Some people say they like soft tacos better than hard shell, but they're wrong.
