Got a 60" hi lift, the kid had it labled as the 48" on craigslist. Eric if you order a all cast 48" off Amazon I'll trade you the 60" for the 48"

Save you some money I believe

For those of you that live in Colorado Springs, does anybody live in a HOA community? I just moved into a home in Stetson hills yesterday and I want to fly my American flag. It is a 2.5'x4' flag on a 5ft wooden pole that will be flying from the front porch of my new home. From everything I've read, no entity has the right to restrict flying a US flag based on the "freedom to display the American flag act of 2005" and Colorado state laws. I just don't want there to be a problem and somebody get pissy, because that's not going to be a nice conversation for whoever tells me otherwise. Anybody else in a HOA community fly a flag?

Yes, I understand that, but a lot of what I found was just people talking on a forum, not a legal document.

I'm almost 100% positive there won't be an issue, but I don't want some snippity bastard telling me otherwise. Just looking to see if anybody happened to have any first hand experience.

HOA has the right to restrict the size of the flag and pole, but I also can't find any info on these restrictions. It's a small flag, in my opinion at only 2.5'x4'

I was Vice President of our HOA when they created the law & helped to get it passed by working with state representatives . You're good to go. Fly what you want and if you get grief from your HOA sue the shit out of them if they want to push it and you won't have to pay HOA fees for the rest of your life.

What do you guys think? Building my rear bumper and trying to make a big decision: simple and not as good-looking with more ground clearance or cooler design, more complicated with less ground clearance?

I'd say if you make it more complicated id assume its going to be built stronger so at least you can drag it over things if you have less clearance.

Yeah, it will be really strong either way. I'm just thinking if I am going to be building a HC bumper I should get the most clearance possible but style is definitely on the radar so idk.

Ost pretty much got you answered but the only thing I was going to add was that from what I read about flag etiquette if you are going to keep the flag up all the time you need to have a spot light on it at night so it remains visible. You may already know this since you have been researching but I just thought I would include that. :oldglory:

I have 2 solar powered floods on both of ours & they work great. Pretty cheap too. American flag on one side & then on the other I alternate depending in the mood: Colorado, Gadsden, Broncos, Huskers... just depends on the season really. :D

JK Travis. Sometimes simple looks better then trying to overdo it with design. All and all your the one that has to be happy with it. Good luck.
