Yeah, depends if you can work off hours or not and which bottlenecks you have to go through.

It takes me 1 hr 15 mins to San Rafael if I go at the right time. 80-37-101.

    Mothers Day etc....4 hours.

I lot of the closures are along that area where Fort Funston is and North. There's some to the south as well. It's not just dogs they're proposing to eliminate.

I don't know why they need so many more LE positions. It might be what they currently have but broken out of another budget or it could be because GGNRA gets bigger. Definitely a great opportunity if you like the outdoors and want to have the ability to move around the park system.

90% of the time im working in the Financial District.

I think my biggest problem will be 880, oh god how i hate that freeway so fucking much. My stress levels have dropped since i moved to Union City and just go through Dumbarton.

Im going to be calling acouple places in the Pinole, Martinez, and Concord areas this weekend though.

Yeah, all depends on the area. San Rafael is among the easiest. 880, 580, 680 :puke:

Oh, hey check this out :) Too bad I'm not qualified...I would give my left nut to do this kind of work out there.

Hmmm.. I might have a room to rent out. It's a 6 BR house. Currently two other people live there. You'll get your own bathroom. Kitchen/laundry/livingroom privileges, you park on the street, I got my Benz and my Harley in the garage. Daly City/SF borderline. My house is in SF, the house next door is in Daly City. Daly City BART is four blocks away. 280 is right there.

How soon do you need this?

Exhibit curator at Point Reyes National Seashore.

It was a temporary job that could be extended up to four years. Didn't sound like there was much chance to go permanent. Maybe, just not big chance. Also implied you could be lost to a layoff too.

Aside from all that, it sure did sound interesting.

I think I'm gonna apply to this just to see if I qualify. Have background in fish hatchery operations, wildlife conservation, and parks and rec plus refrences from all of these. Don't have all the necessary schooling and have a junk GPA right now at the Jc (working to fix that) but I've worked in Alaska and locally on such project so I suppose that would be excellent background experience. Thanks for posting!

Anyone have any good recommendations for an alignment shop? Just put my icons on and as cool as positive camber and toe in are... I'm gonna need to get that fixed. I've heard of like 6 month alignments where you can get it realigned which I would like to do because I foresee UCAs pretty soon.

Yeah, if you don't score high then you didn't use enough imagination in answering the questions. For IT, I believe that State has all the exams online:

Sure does, I'd do it. One of the jobs I've always been interested in is habitat restoration, the salt flats, watersheds, eradicating invasive species. I noticed up in the Headlands last week that they appear to be removing eucalyptus and Monterey pines, neither of which are supposed to be there, I didn't ask if that was the reason but I also saw volunteers removing non native plants too. I saw piles of iceplant which is good to see. Iceplant crowds out native plants and grasses that birds and butterflies need for habitat.

Still looking to sell my JL 250/1. Asking 120 to TW members. Very reasonable deal. Works great, just moved on to a 500/1. Also looking to get rid of my JBL amp and sub to best offer.

Spotted Scott (DarkGreenTaco) in Petaluma. Which is Kinda funny cause I just saw him 2 days ago when he hooked me up with the Yakima load warrior. Today i gave it a test run with the baby stroller up there, fits great. Thanks again Scott!! I hope that Pliny treated you well!

Bahaha! That's how I feel when I'm in that jeep. It's too small but it's too damn fun.
