I understand that, I like Japanese imports as well. Guess nothing about an old ass carolla stands out to me that would make me want to ever consider restoring one. Like even when "clean" like those two bottom cars above it still just looks like an old ass carolla with wheels on it haha.

I agree when it comes to looks. For some reason the Corolla's just don't look as good...

 

The front end of that 510, is pretty bad ass. The car itself has a good proportional shape, vs the carolla i think has too much sticking out in front and back. Also that carolla front end (especially the bumper) is aweful. The differences are subtle honestly, but we all know its the subtle things that make a car awesome. Then you look at the gtr and the roof is lower, more curves along the roof and mid section and the carolla is just up flat down, and the side is also basicially just flat.

all in all, the gtr and datsun look more unique...the carolla looks like what a carolla is...just a cheap car. And thats what I think when I see one, even when its cleaned up, the body style just looks like a cheap car, where the datsun and gtr especially look, better, more unique. Hard to describe and you should realize that haha.

 

i dont really care if it "started" the drift scene. It looks like crap, and there are 1000 other cars that drift far better. So I dun give a fuck.

 

you should know this by now. Im a function guy. If I cant use it and abuse it, i dont want it. I will never own anything that sits there and looks pretty. That car does not look pretty, nor is it a good drift missile, despite the fact it "started" drifting. So personally I dont like it.

and arrogant shit about 100 cars that drift better? There are so many more platforms that would be better to start with than that thing.

 

Maybe im assuming they have more differences than they do, but its not every carolla that is good for drifting, its the 86. I would not say every type of carolla ever made is a great drift platform. Am I wrong? Maybe. But why dont you continue to enlighten me king of drift cars

The reason it's awesome is the fact that it's RWD and is really really light. Throw 200hp at it and it will be an awesome all around cruiser/autoX/drift car.

I agree it's pretty ugly, but I like that. Sure I would much rather have an AE86 but this is basically the same thing and AE86's are impossible to find in this corn field hell hole.

Reminds me of how facebook brings #thingys. Out of the millions of people using facebook...and billions of posts...my friends are able to find hastags that NO ONE ELSE HAS USED BEFORE in reference to something common


And now people are using hashtags in snapchats they send.

 

I only use them on instagram where it makes sense or when I'm joking, like when somebody is complaining about something in the military, I'll just post #airforcelife.
