Im still thinking they need to give most all of them in prison a sling blade and start cutting grass on the roadside for 12 hours a day, rehabilitate the shit out of em. So when they get out there happy to have a 8 hour job and not steal or sell drugs. Save the states alot on buying mowers too.

On another note one of my friends dads was in prison for a while( about 10 yrs). For a while he lived in a halfway type house and did industrial maintenance and is out of jail now and doing good for himself.

Doesn't look like they source the "Majority Claim", but Pchop you already claimed you didn't remember ever hearing talk about death penalty when you were catholic, where you going with this?

I guess you misunderstood. I dont recall my FAMILY ever being anti death penalty. I havent ever really given to much thought into what the church said or says. I tend to make my own mind up on what I believe.

Pretty interesting for me, and its happening now. Hawaii abolished capital punishment long ago, but this guy and his wife beat on their daughter daily until they finally killed her. But he is in the military and it happened on military property, so he is facing the death penalty. They are trying to blame each other for delivering the fatal blow, but I think they should both be put down, and I voted accordingly.

I suppose most major religions a person would be unable to follow one to a t. So every body is most likely a light whatever. There are different denominations based on the king james version of the bible because thats how they interpret whats in it.

Nice list. I would be curious to see the murder rates for alot of those.

Yep, I am a catholic-light (as in I dont take the religion as serious as a priest). If thats what your sayin. Although I like to think that I have been instilled with the morals of the religion and live my life by those morals. I may not be close to perfect or saint hood, however, I am not running amok causing problems for society either.

That's why many christian denominations have made it easy by just saying you can do whatever you want, just believe before you die.

Yet most still get hung up on the gays.

Yep i agree Im not perfect but I try to be an honest hard working person. I drink occasionally and dont always attend church like I should and have other bad habits but I think alot of people that even are more "religious" could use some actual morals. But I think that may be more on their upbringing and parents than religion, but really how should I know anyway.

I also know that what I do is wrong, but the harder I try to stop it does seem like god does bless me for it. Ill still have to answer for my sins one day to.

The amount I drink when I do drink, which isnt to often is not okay. One beer is not bad but a 12 pack or more in a night isnt okay.:D
