Ok so I was out camping in the desert and wanted to move my truck closer in to the campsite and hit a rock. I was curious if this repair is something I can do myself (note I am not overly gifted with mechanical skills but always will to try and have someone who can help me that is pretty sharp). You can see what is damaged in the pictures. The metal housing is completely jacked and will need to be replaced, the plastic housing for power hook up is pretty well jacked up as well. Does the the entire housing need to be replaced? It looked liked it connected further forwards in the truck so I'm thinking that is all 1 part? Also anyone know where I can find a cheap set of OEM rear prerunner mudflaps the left side was ripped off.

If anyone could give me the part #s for all the damaged parts that would be awesome! Also is anyone know how to get a copy of the Tacoma service manual legally (if by umm alternative methods you can just send a me a PM so as not to get this thread deleted)?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

I posted this over at TN too so if you responded there, no worries =)

If the socket is not damaged, remove the broken mount, and mount the socket in the bed or under the bumper to keep it free from happening again.

Warrenty, it mutilated itself no impact occured.

I dunno, I'd probably see if you can find one on the cheap at a junkyard from a head on or something... gotta be cheaper than the stealership, and it's just a plug so,

you can buy the plug at almost any autoparts store for $15-$20 and then just move it to the bumper, and never worry about it again.
