Police: Minnesota teen planned school massacre

According to authorities in Waseca, Minnesota, he was going to kill his family, start a diversionary fire, set off bombs at an area school, kill the resource officer there and then shoot students.
Frighteningly, the 17-year-old -- who CNN is not naming because of his age -- had the resources to carry out such an attack.

I like how they just randomly threw in "liked guns, and heavy metal". Yeah because every gun lover or heavy metal lover is going to do this stuff. and liking assault rifles makes people bad too. Bugs me when they wrote articles like that.

But anyway...wtf is wrong with this kid? They didn't seem so mention any kind of motive either. Good thing school was closed on Easter.

I suspect shit like this will only get worse with time. The world has changed and too many bad ideas are getting into the heads of deranged people. I can accept that we have as a global population, decided to mix cultures and develop communication such as the internet, but I do not believe it is for the better of us. There is a lack of family and vital connection in the average person.

...allow me to take a wild guess at the empirical formula:

degeneration of morals and family values... + drugs for every annoyance + lack of discipline + inflamed sense of entitlement + LSM knee-jerk over sensationalizing

The problem is that when a kid does something like this his face is plastered on every news channel for weeks and weeks. There's no reason to even say the kids name. Just talk about who was hurt and don't glorify the sick fucks that do these things because that's exactly what they want.

I think a major part of the problem is the parents are setting these kids up for disaster!!! There is no more real competitions anymore there is no longer a last place... So kids don't learn how to handle defeat... Which gives them an unrealistic outlook that they are better/ smarter/ more deserving than they really are... I mean my daughter just had a dance competition in Burnsville mn this weekend... Every single dance team that participated with a dance got a metal... Oh and need I mention the lowest metal given is a gold.... How is this teaching kids how to handle the many disappointments life will bring?

Isn't it kind of ironic to suggest that the kids don't get taught responsibility for their own actions but then absolve them of all responsibility for their own actions by 100% blaming the parents ?

I have been a "head banger" since my early teens, I own a "felonious", "assault" (sporting, I live in NY) rifle, I have been spanked for being bad, I absolutely suck at video games, and have never tried to, or thought of, killing anyone!

Some kids need to have their ass kicked earlier in life!

Sounds ironic to me but come on... It's the parents job to raise model citizens. Correct me if I'm wrong. But im sure everyone on here knows people that have no business being parents.. Some people just can't handle it yet at the same time some people are just fucked in the head as well lol all I wanna know is wtf why does this keep happening in Minnesota? I must point out the area we are speaking of is not far from the twin city's at all... A lot of degenerates. Not saying everyone either but it's considered the #1 hipster city in the nation... Maybe mass murder is the new thing lol
