    On the drone topic - saw a guy flying a quad copter up at Tyler State park a few weeks back. After he launched it he put on what looked like big virtual realty goggles on. Apparently he was flying it by using the on board camera.:cool:

    Yup... It's called FPV... First person video...it's fun for hobbyists... Real unmanned systems don't fly like that... We rely on the autopilot because it flies better than a human can.

    Kinda but not really... Cam of choice is a gopro for those folks... Angle is too wide for any real "spying" unless you get 5 feet from the subject... And at that point, what's the point if you can get caught.

    I thought that's what Homer was asking....but to clarify, no he did not shoot down the drone and yes that is a real commercial for a real guy running for office

    there was a big to do about drones up here a couple years ago, guess he just couldn't let it go :rolleyes:
    the state wanted to look into drones to do aerial surveys for property development/boundaries, taxing, etc and people freaked out. then the local search and rescue wanted to get one to aid in their efforts and people freaked out
