    hell no. drilled through, used 8x1.25 bolts with large fender washers on the back for the bed. for the rails, no washers, the backing strap acted as washers.

    Full ome lift, nitro charger sports all 4 corners (rear shocks relocated), Dakar pack w/ AAL, 882 coils, diff drop, toytec 1" shackles, trail gear low profile front bumper, Tuff Stuff winch, bamf sliders, RAT skids, BAMF Bed Rack, Tepui Kukenam RTT, RAT rear bumper,
    Once I buy welding equip I plan to build something like that. As a quick solution to replace the lock and chain...

    I'll bounce this off you - for the meantime thinking of using the mounts hilift sells, and mount them to the bed sides (not rail) supporting most of the weight over the wheel well. Whaddaya think? Good or bad idea?

    the sheet metal is so thin... thats why I kinda over engineered my mounting system... I saw photos of a guys bed rails ripping off under the pressure of the hilift and bouncing around. bedside isnt any thicker than the rail... plus how are you gonna attach the mount? self taping wont work....

    Sigh. Idk. Time to buy a welder. Need to let my account rest though, gearing up for wheelin/camping/mtb season has taken its toll. By the time I have $$ again, I'll be leaving the workforce to go back to school and won't be able to spend $$... Guess I better get used to chaining and locking to the bed :)
