HE,HE, as Mike would say! HI Jim!!
Was out before daybreak, nothing-no tree gobbles, nothing. Saw one little hen that walked by on her own, and a couple of deer. Sat there until 7:00 without calling, then started to call sparingly. Noticed movement in the woods and there's a bird; I saw it had a beard but it was too far and it spooked, never came into range. Now I start calling more aggressively and still haven't heard a gobble. At about 10:25 I thought I heard one gobble, but a light plane was going overhead and It sounded pretty far away, so I wasn't sure. Waited for the plane to go and called, yup sure enough a distinct gobble and much closer. Waited maby 10 sec. and called again, now its really close. Gun up, safety off, and here comes TWO gobblers together! Let them come into range and :infantry:DONE!!!
Just thought Sue might be interested, in case she would want to turkey hunt!

I gave the bird to a friend of mine. He says he really likes them, and I had given him one about 5 yrs. ago.

Morning all from Krakow Poland. Got in yesterday and it was cold, damp and rainy. Walked around a bit and had dinner then back to the room and sleep. Jet lag is a bitch the older you get. More sightseeing today.

    Morning all:
Took the camera with last night; we couldn't buy a darn walleye! Four hours of trolling and only had one fish on, probably a stripper, and it got off! What a difference one night makes.

Just saw something on CNN money. Now they want to raise the FEDERAL GAS TAX. That will add even more to the 27 cents that they are adding on to the PA gas tax. :( :bucket:
