Mt Elden Lookout

Has anyone driven up Mt Elden lookout road to the top? What is the drive like? I hiked up last summer and saw a 1stgen Tacoma up there. Thought it would be a fun trip.

 

It has some rough spots but we shuttled mountain bikes up it in a prerunner. Had to use the locker in one spot. It was really washed out from water run off. They do maintenance on it once in a while so you'll just have to check it out.

 

Awesome. Thanks for the heads up. Seems like a fun drive up to the top. Did you notice any difference in power with the gain in elevation?

 

We weren't really going fast enough to feel much difference.

 

Hiked up one time many moons ago!
Cool tower, we got to visit with the ranger in it.
