You also need a way for your speedo to work since you are ditching the tone rings in your axle. Your transmission also won't shift correctly either if your an auto. There is a kit that I bought from Wyatt "The Beast" Rock Solid Toys that uses a worm gear in your transfer case to run your speedo and allow your tranny to shift correctly.

I can't speak to MT trucks.

Yes the stuff bolts up but that's not even the hard stuff. The brake booster on your truck is finicky and you will have to get the right pressure and caliper size to make it work. A proportioning valve can help but it's not plug and play.

    ...too much shit to list.
Dunno. Call them, they are good people.

    Second gen problems.
My speedo runs off a gear in the transfer case from the factory. And as for brakes, yeah there's more too it if he goes to a 9". But at least with the tundra brakes, the wheel cylinders on the tundra axle were identical to the first gen tacoma (1" bore). If I'm not mistaken the second gen tacomas are 15/16" bore and would likely work just fine with no changes other than a proportioning valve. I switched to a manual proportioning valve a while back as well.

Installed arp studs and open end gorilla nuts along with my new wheels. With the threads exposed should I worry about them rusting or will they be fine?

Also, my driver side camber won't go back into spec from negative. Any ideas? Could the frame be tweaked from this motor mount breakage? Or did I bend a gusseted spindle?

I have a ford 9" in my yota. Just running stock proportioning valve with the ride height lever modified to make it "adjustable". Running a bit more rear brake bias to rotate the rear end around more easily. The yotas are metric and the ford is standard, so I just got a hardline for the yota and had a standard fitting flared onto the other side. It has drums. Works fine. Probably going to throw a truss on down the road and redrill the axles for 5x4.5 and it'll be good to go.
I'm at somewhere around 82" edge to edge with little skinny 10.5" tires. Gets close to the front (84")

Gotta love the simplicity of 1st Gens. The 2nd Gens are so heavy, electronically burdensome, and expensive.

But I'm still building one. Lol
