Great write up OP. I went with a double outlet when I did mine a while back.

Funny thing is, is I use a night light in mine. It's a projection on that projects an aquarium scene on the headliner for my 2yo.

Oh, I got ya. Yeah I just stripped the wire and attached it to the plug. I know more about wiring in a house then in a vehicle. I followed another members write up to see what wires to tap into, but he was banned and his thread deleted along with him. So I'm glad someone made a good write up to follow, for others to follow.

Yeah, this write up is much better actually. His was more for the 400w anytime mod with the added outlets as kind of secondary thing. Which was ok for me with this mod, I just needed to know what wires. But for someone who would need more direction, then it wasn't that great.

Yeah, for most wiring involved in a vehicle, I need step by step for most things, because most wires running through it make me nervous. Because I have no idea what they do.

 

Haha me too. I just followed a thread from toyotanation or something like that but the pics were small as hell. Just winged it the first time and did it. Haha

 

It's probably the most useful thing I've done. I use them A LOT. My older son uses it to charge his stuff, I use it instead of the cig lighter charger for my phone. Night light like I mentioned. Halloween I used it for a strobe light and had a skeleton sitting in the drivers seat. Kids where losing there minds while looking in. LOL.

I've thought about running another one to the front. Just for easier access for myself. Maybe when I get time.

 

Yea. I've used a few times to charge my phone. Had a little inverter but it makes some noise and got tired of hearing it.

 

Don't forget to use your bed outlet for Christmas lights around the bed!

LOL. I think besides a dremel once, that's the only thing I've used my bed outlet for.

 

Same here. Only used to charge my phone for a bit. Great use for inside the cab tho.
