I thought you were running light racing uca's? Is there a reason you went with icon and not total chaos or camburg?

I am currently running LR. The reason I went with icons is well cause it matches my current setup.

I know some people will say why didn't you get the 700lb icon springs then instead of the kings.. I have no answer for that.

When I bought the LRs it was more to save money because I wanted some type of aftermarket uca. Dropping the coin for the stage 1 Icon kit I thought I would save a little there

Now I knew I wanted to go with a uniball to fully take advantage of the extended travel icons I have up front

Put in an offer for camburg this morning. Seller denied it and countered. In the end I bought what I originally wanted.

Modding my truck this past year I have definitely taken what my dude linwood goes by... buy once..cry once.

It will save you money in the long run

Thanks for setting me straight this am. Almost bought the camburgs but after talking to you I was like if I am going to spend the loot might as well be for the one I really want. Would have regretted at some point down the road

Glad you went with the Icons. You'll be happier being able to cap the uniball.

Naw. Relatively easy if you have a press.

    1. remove wheel, brake caliper & rotor, ABS sensor lead
    2. Remove LBJ and CV axle
    3. Undo and slide out the UCA frame bolt (watching out for Airbag sensors, airbox may need moving on passenger side)
    4. Take UCA/spindle assembly out and to a press
    5. Press out ball joint stem from UCA
    6. Press out ball joint from spindle
    7. Press new uniball coupler into spindle
    8. Reassemble.

You'll need a 12pt socket for the uniball top bolt.
A second pair of hands makes things easier with getting the UCA frame bolts lined up and in. If I still lived in the area, I'd help out.

I torqued the UCA frame bolts to spec in FSM. No torque values were provided for the bottom cup bolt nor the uniball top bolt. I used the ball joint castle nut spec for those and seemed fine.

Don't know if this is any help but here's a picture of the top of the spindle:

    DSC_0002_zps1a0de88c_4ed6c6270762caebd974e017928c9e0b56f1b8c8.jpg

The dull looking piece between the arm and the spindle gets pressed into the top of the spindle. What I've read, the cup sitting below the spindle top is supposed to be used to pull the coupling piece in like a press but better off just using a press. I guess the bolt you see in the picture has a tendency to strip out when attempting to pull the coupling piece in.
