Nope. No problems. I don't stow anything in the bed anyway. I keep a small plastic Stanley job box strapped to the front rail, but that's empty and lockable. Since there are no side windows, it's hard to see inside anyway. Hit me up if you want to check it out. Paid around $800 shipped directly from softopper, and that's with the extra screen doggy window.

There are a few dealers here for shells. I don't think anybody orders a shell and ships them themselves over here. I'm sure we pay a premium here for that tho.

whenever I go camping I tie a tarp so that it covers the bed. made a really shitty lean-to once. lol

 

I wish I could justify an RTT here... Those things are awesome. If I lived in the mainland, it would always be on my truck.
Getting closer on my sliders. Got all the gaps filled in and welded. Some of those needed some serious buttering up. Then I hit the slider/step portion with a flapper wheel and some self etching primer. I'll clean and prime in sections so its not such a huge job. Just gotta weld on a few more legs, and gussets...
Also had to spot weld many pin holes in the existing welds...

I was gonna text you again in the afternoon but figured you were up to your fabsticles fabbing stuff

 

It was a busy Sunday for sure. Rick came over to borrow my wheels and tires for his recon appointment, then halfway through that, Miles and Neil came by on the way to a small Sandys meet, and we traded my bushwackers for Miles' stock flares. Then Mike came over to machine some huge aluminum blocks on my mill to make spacers for his super bumps. That took until around 8pm. Nobody really hung out, and i was able to make good progress on my sliders. They look so much better with welds and paint.

 

and thus, the rare TW member known as Kona, has yet to be seen in person.

 

Not having anything with wheels and school makes it hard to...go outside

Too bad the wheel/tire combo is over 90lbs!

yeah i realized that too after I mounted my E tires and the truck wouldn't get up and go at the lights. looks nice tough! I wanna see your rims on the white. I really wanted to go all storm trooper but I think I wanna go with your color and stand out from the crowd.

 

I think his truck looks good with the gunmetal wheels. I'd go for 18" FN BFDs tho. I still want those for my 4runner. I'll tell him to post a pic.
