I am trying to retrofit headlight with Bixenon Morimoto mini d2s 3.0 new square lens. I am wondering if anyone of us here has done with this kind of mod?
    1. Is there any back reflector cutting involve with this mod ?
    2. Is the projector mounting require any bracket or alignment ?
Please help if you guys have any picture or write up , thank you

From what I was just told yes to number 1. Not sure on 2 but I would imagine yes to that too.

Not necessary cut it but shave a little bit of it. As you can see, there is not enough thread for the lock ring to sit on

So in order to fix that, you need to shave off a little bit like so

Once you shave that, you will have something that looks like this.

The projector does come with a horizontal alignment tab, but that is pretty much useless since you're shaving the back of the reflectors. You have to manually align the horizontal lines by turn the projectors clockwise or counter clockwise by hand, before jb welding the projectors and sealing the headlights.

Stupid question, but does the reflector have to be ground down to accommodate a "normal" round D2S projector too?
