Another option would be a back plate sort of thing. I don't know how wide the window box is but you could cut a piece of plywood to surface mount to the wall, then mount the TV mount to that. You can get nice, hardwood plywood that can be stained or paint it so it looks intentional. With a TV that large going in front of it, it might cover it anyways and that'd get you in business for the weekend anyways.

Better idea than mine. I would just cut the sheetrock out throw some studs in reattach and mud. Fuck the paint for now they will all get over it. While in there throw some extra cross pieces in for anchor points also

Long term, that's definitely the right way to fix it. I was just thinking about ways to do it quickly that wouldn't require cutting open the wall. If I ever completely gut, or build a house from scratch, I'm putting plywood behind all the walls in the living room. It'd make it sooo much easier to mount things where ever and not have to worry about stud location.

There are also floor to ceiling pole mounts. Attaches to floor and ceiling with tension, tv goes into bracket on pole.

Yikes. If you already found the screws in the sheetrock you might be right. Other clues to find studs is look at the baseboard, it should be nailed into the studs, also outlets are mounted on the sides of studs normally, if you take the faceplate off you can usually tell which side the stud is on if you cant tell by just tapping on the wall. If you find a few studs at 16 OC plum those up where you want the mount the TV and drill a pilot hole or what i do is send a 16 ga. nail through the sheetrock.

Maybe use toggle bolts, although IDK if that's recommended for that weight. I hung my dartboard with those and no issues

I wouldn't do that with a TV mount. No way the drywall would be strong enough to hold that.

    No emission on a 87
    Rear axle seal leaking
    Rocker panel rotted out
    Need rear shocks
Rear bumper needs to be straightened out .
    Rust holes rear quarter panel

I can fix all of that so it's not to big of a deal . I just need to find the time to do the work.

You can actually fail inspection because of rust holes, a dinged bumper and a leaky axle seal?

Do antique vehicles in NH need inspection stickers?
In Maine they don't, is the reason I'm asking.
My plow truck is registered as an antique for that reason. I'll just have the mechanic take a peek at it every so often for a 'safety check'

Yup things are a lot different up here.
If I was still in mass I wouldn't have a issue getting a sticker.

Neither would I, main reason is worst case my dartboard falls on the floor it is $40 for another one.
