Interesting idea on the intake tube cover.

My question is... why not just take it off and cover the hole and do a deck plate?

I have 3x layers of pantie hose tapped up on the tip of my intake hose under the wheel as well as a big deck plate done. heavy rains do nothing..

    Me?

Yes I cut the frame. Like 8". I used the frame that I cut off to kind of box the frame a little. I plan on swapping to a 1 ton w/ links(redoing frame) in the future.

Mostly because I'm not sure how the smog people would react if I had a big deck plate on my intake box.. Each place is different. It's only temp till I get a snorkel.

As long as you have the stock box thats all they seem to care about, Mine is and was deck plated when I smogged it

I smogged it fine with my intake tube fully exposed under the fender as well.

I run fiberglass so I cannot use any fender liners unless fabricated.

Only visual issue I had was that my Doug Thorley headers didnt have a CARB stamp.. had to drive to corona and have them weld one on.

I also had my exhaust dumped at the axle.

Hmm.. Interesting. Good to know. Well since I already finished I'm not gunna just go tear it out lol.. Seems like it will work fine for a few weeks/months. I might do the deck plate if my snorkel ends up restricting the airway too much.

I discovered I need an alignment bad, I have a 1/2 inch of tread on the out side of my tire and a 1/4 inch on the inside, can somebody tell me about what it will cost me to get one, my cousins said it cost him 300, I hope he is wrong.

Anybody happen to know which seal is supposed to be replaced with the wheel bearings? All I can find is inner and outer, but no specifics on which one pertains to wheel bearings.

The. outer, but I replaced inner and outer when I replaced my berrings, they don't cost much so I figured, what the hell. All I have to say if you are doing them your self is have fun.

If your seals are not bad you really don't need to replace them, that's why I pulled my axle is because I had the outer seal go bad but you have to press of the berrings to get to the outer seal, I needed to replace my berrings any how because they were full of sand.

Damn I was just lookin at your build on pirate 6 hours ago. Great work on the front swap man! That atlas is beautiful!
I was wondering why you did the work for the front link set up and went with a low key leaf set up for the rear that isn't going to to be able to keep up with the front?
