Why do some Tacoma Xtra cabs have different style seats?

My 99 TRD SR5 auto trans console has the 60/40 split bench

 

My 95 has 60/40

 

The F-150's in the late 90's to early 2,000's had a lot of seat styles.

For example, a 2001 F-150 had 9 different seat styles.

I work for a seat covers company, so I know my seats!

 

My (former) 2002 SR5 2.7 4x4 Xtra Cab had the 60/40. Funny, technically that was a 5 seater. Three seatbelts up front, two in the back.

 

Mine is an SR5, manual everything and has buckets.

 

My '04 X-cab 2.7 SR5 4X4 has 60/40, manual everything. Fold up center consol/armrest and tilt wheel.

 

1999, 3.4 V6, SR5, TRD, and I have 60/40s

Does anyone know (or can link me) to some decent aftermarket bucket seats for sale? I'm having a hard time finding any.

Or is my only option to cannibalize an existing truck?

 

Thats what i did.
Some members here have put Scion seats in as well but you do have to modify the seat track

 

my '97, not sure what trim level it is, is a 4 banger with buckets and manual everything.

 

Mine has buckets. Id like the 60/40 bench instead, better for a lady friend to snuggle in close.

 

97 sr5 v6 auto, bucket seats and power windows, mirrors and moon roof.
