Any reviews on it? Only one I found was Amazon, not a very good review but it seemed mostly to do with the seller not the fridge.

MJ just bought a new EdgeStar, George and I both have EdgeStars. George has a scratch and dent, mine is brand new. I have no complaints. Neither does George.

Better get it while it lasts. There's only that one in stock.

If that was available when I purchased, I would've picked it up. A lot of guys on Expo Portal have good luck with the open box ones

I put it in my cart...

And now I'm all over expedition portal reading about Edgestars and their common issues.

Damn I want one... So cheap, but is it just throwing your $ away? I mean, at that price I could buy 2 before I reach the price of the ARB's...

ARB/Engel fridges are slightly more efficient, but honestly, they're not that awesome. I'd totally would (and did) go for an Edgestar/Whynter/Koldfront fridge instead. However, if you want to simply improve efficiency, insulate your fridge with a layer or two of Reflectix and you'll be on par. If you're worried about power, just get a 100 - 120 watt solar panel for the days you won't be crawling about.

Keep in mind, it's only throwing away your money if you don't use it.

Guy has 5 pelican 1690 cases for super cheap.

The ad says 10, but he had five left when I talked to him tonight. He might still have 4 after I meet him tomorrow to buy one.

The 1690 is of pelican's larger wheeled cases.

    30" x 25" x 16" interior

    33 x 28 x 18 exterior

No foam but with an MSRP of over $600, I figured it's worth mentioning for 150 ea.
