He said it was a friends that didn't care about it. Said friend was nowhere around tho...it honestly wouldn't surprise me if it was just set on fire and called in as totaled to the insurance agency...

...or on slapped on craigslist listed as a great commuter car, only driven slowly to and from church on Sundays. Lol

On the way out I saw them again and the girl who owned it was in the back. Pretty sure they were all high.

I would like to get a heavier gauge skid plate. Isn't there someone on this Forum that fabs them? Can't remember right now.

So, the girl in the VW owns it? What a bunch of losers. I thought about those fools when I got home & gave my 2 boys an extra big hug & kiss! HAHAHA!

We can all agree that you have a very capable truck. Now learn to give it a little more gas, and you won't have to worry about getting stuck...

Ohh, and do the diff breather mod...

    :(

Ohh, and I found out that I bent my trailer light harness thing...luckily I was able to just bend it back...no damage as far as I can tell...

Peter, that should make you feel good about that trailer harness relocation kit you bought.

    1) I feel bad that I didn't get any videos of your truck. I love to see videos of mine. Next time we go out there I will take PLENTY of videos. I guess we were all focused on the main events: the Jetta & Andy. HAHA!

    2) Dan, when we went to that place behind Regal Cinemas, you may remember that I hit a hard patch of mud & the front of my truck came off the ground for a bit. I noticed later that I bent my trailer harness then. I straightened it out but never did anything about it until a few days before we went to Homestead.

Thanks Dan but guys, you don't need a kit:

    1) 2 1/8" bi-metal hole saw. Bought mine at Home Depot:
    http://www.greatlakespowertools.com/v/vspfiles/photos/49-56-9668-2.jpg
    2) insert a drill bit into the hole saw to serve as a guide.
    3) unbolt the trailer plug from it's original location
    4) get under your truck, cut the black tape that keeps the wires together, unplug the one for the trailer harness. WEAR GLASSES or SAFETY GOGGLES so dirt doesn't fall into your eyes.
    5) grind down with a dremmel or cut with a knife the excess plastic behind the trailer plug so that it is "round" enough to slide through the whole you are about to drill in your bumper.
    6) drill the whole in your bumper. (CHECK THAT NO WIRES ARE BEHIND THE AREA YOU ARE DRILLING)
    7) slide in the harness from the front & mark the 2 holes that you will drill for the bolts.
    8) I don't remember the size but it is the same diameter as the smallest hole in the harness. The left hole is smaller than the right for whatever reason.
    9) attach the harness with 2 stainless steel bolts/nuts. You'll be able to reach the back bumper with a ratchet to tighten the nuts.
    10) plug in the wire harness & zip tie them behind the bumper so they don't fall.
    11) DONE!

ALMOST FORGOT: get a small paint brush & paint the edge of the newly drilled holes so they don't rust!

I also saw someone get 2 L shaped metal brackets & install the harness behind the bumper (near the spare) using the hitches existing holes. Basically, the harness faces down.

I don't like this because the cover to the harness seldom seals tight so that's going to collect dirt & mud. Plus, when you install the 7 pin to 4 pin adapter that thing will be pointing straight down instead of pointing back. Looks awkward in my opinion.

Hope this helps you & anyone else.
    :)

Whenever I do this to any future Tacoma that I may own I will put the main hole closer to the tag. This way the plug sits more flush with the flatter part of the bumper.

I had to get a ball peen hammer & "roll out" top part of the whole in the bumper so that it could be flush with the harness.

Please call or PM me BEFORE YOU DRILL if I didn't explain myself clear enough

Even a small cut can get infected and I was crawling in mud...
