I was kind of hoping you were linking the rear so I could nab the shackle flip or BAMF shock relocations

Jason has spoken for the shackle flip already. As far as the shock towers, I don't think I could burn them off without jacking them up. I'll let you know though.

hey question for you guys with lockers, now that I have my spindles, gonna be saving up to buy a locker next...but im torn between the Detroit automatic locker and the ARB air locker.

I really like the idea of having the rear end always locked with the detroit but I also like having the predictability of the selectable locker of knowing it will be locked since the Detroit has the setup inside so when your turning it unlocks itself then locks back up once straight again. But is it safe to have the ARB on all the time? I'm assuming it's not

No worries while crawling and turning with it locked. It's just going to skid a little bit. If you're worried or turning super tight, it's not hard to just flick the switch off.

How does the Detroit know when you're turning vs. slipping a wheel?

you guys are just downright hilarious...lol

ckeene, im not worried about turning, its keeping it on for a duration of time, as in going through sand prerunning for an example, which is something I really would like to get into, which is why i was asking if it was safe to keep it on for the entirety of a meet or something to that effect or if keeping it on like that would completely screw the locker up

and im not too sure with the Detroit, ive only briefly looked at how it works with the spool

It doesnt know when your turning.. it knows when youre on gas and when your not. I.e. if your turning and not on the gas at all you wont know the rear has a locker, but start hitting the skinny while youre turning with a detroit and youll know real quick that its there.

ok so just to make sure im understanding this correctly, with the detroit while turning and not on the gas its pretty much an open diff, but when I hit the skinny it locks up?

im just making sure im understanding it correctly before I make a decision which locker to get

Correct. It locks up based on torque. Its whats in all the older cars and trucks. Its a time proven locker. Im going with a detroit once its time for me to get one

Alfuh I have a Detroit waiting to get put in. It's simpler than the arb you just gotta learn to drive with it. Especially in wet/snowy roads is all.
