So I've searched around and haven't found anything. What do you guys do about your mud flaps? The hard plastic is simply a no go for me, I didnt even do any offroading(just a dirt/rocky trail) yet and I've already broken them.

I need something to keep the salt and rocks off my under carriage but nobody seems to make a proper rubber mudflap from what I've seen. Have you guys found any?

If you're talking about the front ones (usually the ones that I scrape) then I think people here have had luck with the Husky replacement ones. I looked at them online, they're pretty stock looking, and people say they're shorter than the stock ones.

I have these installed and they're much shorter than OEM and look better. I've never had one of these rub like the stock ones. A breeze to install!

I dont care about them rubbing. I know it'll rub with some rock crawling but what I want is something that will just bend when its on a rock instead of breaking. Is that what the husky ones do?

I just chopped 6 inches off my stock ones. I've taken it on one rough, rocky, muddy trail and didn't have an issue. If I end up ripping them off I'll go with none or get some Husky replacements.

No. They are harder than the stock flaps. just shorter and a touch wider which is nice if you have a wider stance

The mudflaps really suck. My Tacoma is less then 2 weeks old and I've hit them hundreds of times on moderate dirt roads. Obviously the front are the main problem but even the rears hit on some obstacles. I live in a place where jeep roads are a way to get to trailhead and camping. The noise is even starting to freak out my dog! Is rokblokxs the only company that makes shorter front and rear mudflaps? How are they? Price is high but I'd like to buy the same brand for front and rear and do not want to cut.
    Thanks

Really sucks that our only option are these crappy hard plastic ones. Its as if no company expects us to be wheeling our rigs. Theres no way you can come off even a small rock without breaking your mud flap. and a large rock is going to destroy those husky ones. I'm really disappointed. I'm going to have to figure something out for this.

I cant just have no front mud flaps, the bottom of my door will rust out in no time.

I recently installed the rokblokz and I highly recommend it. I chose the regular length oversize wheel/tire kit for my setup.

I just went and bought a bunch of the mounting kits for the stock mud flaps. If I come to an obstacle I make sure the radio is down and the windows are open so I can hear when it pops off. Then I pick it up and just remount it at home. Total pain the ass, some day I will buy something else.

It's not your only option, just the only manufacturer provided option.

If you think they're too expensive then maybe open up a business and sell a better product for cheaper :notsure:

No thanks. I deal with enough people working in IT. The last thing I want to do is deal with EVEN MORE people lol

Thanks for the link to the DIY. Thats what I'm looking at doing. for the 20$ in rubber I'd rather spend the 20 minutes and do it myself and save the 100$ lol

It will take a bit longer than 20 min. but sounds like a good choice for you.

The rokblokz are cnc cut and fit perfect, and the material should last a long time. I feel they are reasonably priced and I am happy. Just my 2 pennies.

Yeah it might be 30-45 minutes or so. I did the ones on my Jeep out of rubber the same way and I was done in 15-20 minutes. I didnt do much contouring though.

Price isn't bad at all considering all the hardware and stickers that come with them.

And dealers want to sell OEM ones for like $60-80 a piece WITH NO hardware :(

***Warning*** they do not cover the wear marks in the flares that were created by the vibration of the stock flaps
