Got the head gasket replaced yesterday. It was a slow day for my mechanic so he surprised me by steam cleaning and detailing everything under the hood.

The 06 looks brand new.

This is possibly the smallest thing you'll see in this thread, but I replaced my worn out clutch and brake pedals with new ones from the factory for $10.

After my foot slipped off the clutch on a rainy day last week I decided it was time.

I forgot to consider how poor this would look without also changing the accelerator pedal cover, so now that's on order too.

I am allergic to photobucket. Is there a problem with my images?

Got under it just to eyeball everything. Also checked all bolts/nuts under it to ensure they were tight.

At first glance, i thought ur tires were aired down and had deformed to the side walk, but its just a shadow so calm down.

Small lift with bilstein 5100's set at 1.75 and a 1.5" add a leaf in back. Tires are 265/75/16 so they'd fit on stock suspension as well. Only $140 per tire at onlinetires.com.

Thanks, will look forward to your picture. I started thinking after I posted and I remembered that duplicolor comes in a spray also so obviously that would be the way to go. My truck is silver mica and I don't know how much difference there will be vs the chrome but I like to do small and simple things to make my tacoma a little different.

Finally ordered the rear weathertech digital fit mats. I'm getting ready to order some wet okoles for my front seats and discovered they have a new pattern 121 carbon fiber. I am attempting to find pics but difficult as it is new but it does seem like it would go well with the tacoma interior. Still waiting for a swatch though.
