So I'm taking it that you're reusing your stock coils? And you didn't order a brake proportioning valve extension? I was gonna order through wheelers and it would have been just over $1000 before shipping

I'm not sure how your rear brakes are set up cause I know yours is designed different then mine, but I know I need it to keep the brake performance of the rear drums. Without it you'll have almost no rear brakes. Might wanna check on it, just a suggestion. Wheelers sells the bracket for like $12. It's not expensive

Had a mod day with some TW people and tried to get my shocks and springs installed. Stated pouring rain and then we ran into the most terribly rusted bolts I've ever seen. Ended up messing up the bolts for the springs in the shackles so now I have to buy some tomorrow and head back to Brandon's house to finish it.

Yea you should get one. Check out BAMF. Jerry's bracket is super good quality and pretty decently priced. I suggest getting the powder coat.

Comin along pretty good bro subbed.

Edit: just read about what happened with your shackles. The exact same thin happened to me. I suggest getting all new shackles and new main eye bolts too. You will probably need a grinder to cut the old bolts out. Make sure you strap up the axle real nice so it doesn't fall.

If you have vibrations after you install you might want to get the 3 degree axle shims. And consider a carrier bearing drop as well (mine is just a metal spacer that is 9/16" I think) you can just use washers though.

I ordered the BAMF bracket a couple of days ago.

I'm getting new bolts today, hopefully they also have the shackles at the Toyota place as well.

Went to Toyota to get the new bolts and it turns out that I have to buy the entire shackle assembly to get it. Which will be $200 for both sides and won't be here until Tuesday.

So, it rained all day on Saturday. I didn't bother trying to get someone to drive me 45 minutes out to BSheriff11's house so I could attempt to fix it. I hop on to TacomaWorld and look at the thread for our Central VA group at 4 AM and Bsheriff said he had worked all day in the rain and managed to get everything back together! He sent this picture!

Holy balls, does it look good. But I still need to get new shackles. As you can see, it's pretty sketchy looking the way he got it together. I'm going to go pick this up and get it home at least. Order some aftermarket greasable shackles, which are half the price of OEM ones. Then I'll install them, along with my BPV bracket and extended brake line in the safety of my own driveway. I can't thank this guy enough. Doing leaves is AT LEAST a 2 man job and he did it himself. Crazy. What a great guy.

Here's some more pictures he posted.

Here's the shackles I'll probably buy. I don't plan on driving my truck at all until I get these installed. The stock ones look really unsafe. http://trdparts4u.toyotaofdallas.com/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=-8230

nice choice on the shackle. One thing you might also want to consider is going with 10" long 5125's in the rear for shocks. My 5100's are the limiting factor of the dakar leafs right now (too short) and shocks should never be a limiting factor of suspension. I will be installing 10" shocks in a couple of weeks. You will see what i am talking about when you go over bumps.
