Yeah I know. Which is why I put names like Dexter aka Dex. He would be called by dex most the time. Any suggestions? I am open to other names

Catahoula :D so a southern name would be fitting but please no names like Cajun :p.

Hello all. New guy here. Been lurking around for a while and don't have a Taco yet, but looking to pick one up in a month or so. Had to register to show off my dog, though ;)

    This is Dre.

I am also a pretty big fan of "human" names for dogs too. It's always fun to tell someone your gonna go hang out with Phil for the day when they don't know Phil is a dog.

How about Tick....(Not tick as in mite or tick as in tick tock) But just plain ol Tick. He looks like a Tic to me. Maybe tic tac because of his puppy breath....:)

If you liked the show you should read the books :D. I really do like the name...plus being a hog dog its going to have a thing for blood :p.

I like it. I think most people would think of the parasite at first though...

We almost named our GSP Cooper but named him Cole instead. Our black lab was Hank, our yellow lab is Rowdy(we didnt name her) and our little mutt is Roscoe. My dad has a Wyatt, Lady, and Benelli. My sister has a Bella. Older past pet names were Hunter and Shera. I like human names too. The problem with that is, once it comes time to name a baby, all the names we like are already used up on animals.

Why do wet dogs always climb in your seat? Can't remember the name of the lake, but not too far from Frankfurt, Germany.

We (well, me:cool:) chose Dex for our dog because we were told he's part pointer (index finger) and part hound (hunter, like Dexter)

We got him when he was 10 months Jan 7, 2013. Putting his birthday in late October, so we (well, me again) chose his birthday as 10/22.

This is our girl Zoe. Husky/Lab mix we rescued a year and a half ago from a shelter before she was put down. She's around 7 or 8 years old according to the vet and wants nothing but love. She's a bit of a chunk (like pet, like owner  ) mainly due to being fixed to early as a pup and now she's saggy but the vet says she's lost a good amount of weight and is right where she should be now. Here she is in a crappy cell phone pic after a hike at Raven Rock in NC. Happy pup!
