Shit, I might even bring myself a nice Pinot Noir to go with a perfectly aged USDA Prime Ribeye one night.

Technically yes but 1500 miles from home a backup plan is very wise

All this talk makes me happy I am single :p. Way to much work just to take a woman camping. I'll keep hittin on the hippies and country gals until I find one I don't have to bring a stupid outdoor toilette or shower for.

    ...too much shit to list.
At the end of the day, women are still women.
Even the cornfed country girls would prefer a shower every couple days and a little bit of privacy to drop a deuce. Completely amplified if they happen to start their period while on a week long camping trip.

Kinda, in past relationships. I have seen it happen to others as well. My wife is a trooper but not a camper, she pretty much knows her limits, its 4 stars or above, camping just isn't her thing.

You may find that coming home to one that is cleanly shaved, freshly showered and dressed for the occasion isn't all that bad either.......
    To each is own however.

Nah. The biology majors here are pretty awesome. My friends girl showers every few days and had no problem when we went out last summer. She just took a dip in the lake and brushed her hair. Hell we worked in the dirt 8 hours a day in the summer and she only washed her hair/face during the week because "its pointless to shower if you are just gonna get dirty again". I should start meeting a lot more of them now that I am getting in the wildlife specific classes.

A few extra things to bring and do, then you have a fantastic time. Deep woods....."fun".... can be awesome. Then as the time goes and you have kids you have some sweet family adventures.

I love camping and the outdoor and for me the extra bit is worth it to have my woman with me.

P.s. don't get me wrong, nothing beats a boys trip here and there! "Oops i slept on the picnic table again...." haha

Sometimes I even shower and shave for an occasion, camping is the reverse!

100x better response than I thought I would get. I keep two pairs in the truck and I will double check that they are in there before we leave. I have a huge checklist.

Having a woman by your side who supports your passions is something I believe is an excellent way to never have to sacrifice who you are for your lady.

I promised my lady a pedicure mid trip and to try an shower every other day. She is still really excited for the trip. I will bust my ass to make sure she has a good time. The more she likes it the more I will get to go on.

    Good to know.

    Agree with this whole statement!

Too much to list, but enough to get me in trouble. Repeatedly.
Heh. Reading some of the responses makes me glad I've got the girl I do.
She was pretty adamant many years ago about having some kind of facilities to sit on. She was okay with three or four days with no shower, but no more. After a few years of easing her into my style of adventure, she doesn't even think once (much less twice) about going seven days without a shower, or (not) finding a tree, or even sleeping with anything over her head. We haven't used a tent (read: any shelter) in five years, and most of our trips are over four days in areas where the highest, densest tree is a creosote bush.
Though I did throw her for a loop when I made a steak dinner with all the trimmings by digging a hole in the middle of the "road." She couldn't figure out wtf I was doing.

..............sooooo.........I guess my aimless rambling here is my way of saying to ease her into it. Start her at primitive but official campgrounds, then slowly back off the amenities and lengthen the trips, until you're spending a week without seeing any signs of human activity. With any luck, she won't notice the gradual change.

I'm also super lucky. Since our 1st overnight backpacking trip she's been awesome. I think it helps she was a college soccer player so she's pretty tough. As long as we bring baby wipes or have a lake to dip in all is good. Even if the lake isn't there all is still good. She's very easy going and can make the best of any situation.
