If it's the same company listed here:
    http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/elite...lly-cover-average-repairs-needed-sprin-863130 and here:
    http://www.bbb.org/utah/business-re...arranty-in-springville-ut-13001416/complaints

Then the warranty is a waste of money:
    - Cost of the warranty is about $1600
    - Problems developed within first 90 days or 1000 miles are not covered.

The warranty is written almost like an insurance policy, which means on average you will lose money by buying into it.

that is true but I bought it from a small mom and pop dealer who don't do their own financing or warranties.

Warrantees on Toyotas? Only on electronics in my mind.

welcome! you'll be fine without the warantee, as long as you know where it came from and it has a clean title. I'd suggest picking up a Haynes Manual which will detail any and all regular maintenance you will need to do. Even if you're not confident as a mechanic it'll be fun (and a ton cheaper) to learn a few things about working on your truck. You can find us other Colorado members here:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/south-west/
There are a few meetups and trail runs and plenty of people who would be willing to help you take care of your truck.
As for me, I sketchily bought my truck with 17k miles on it, two previous owners, and a 1000 miles from home. It's been 7 years now and I haven't had a single problem with it!

Thanks for the tips man! Everyone on here is super friendly and willing to help! I wouldn't consider myself a mechanic by I've always loved trying to fix things on my cars, sometimes making it worse. As for the warranty it's too late to cancel now. I called about lifting the truck and they were completely fine with it though! In would love to come to one of the meet ups and see all the other CO Tacos!
