My 09 has a cupholder where the center divider can be removed.

mine too, but the '10 does not have the little flap you can set at different position, instead it's a fixed small hole that you can get larger by removing it.

I am working hard to get my '09 to have auto up and down.

When it rains and you get out of a toll booth, with a manual car, you can one had holding the up button, one shifting and drive with your knee.. way more convenient having auto up!

yes, some '10 models are starting to have auto up and down on all 4 windows, like the 4runner.

modding the current window modules is almost impossible, I'm trying very hard on mine hehe

    Just the basics
My Scion tC had auto up/down for both windows. Same company and so many shared parts among different models no reason they couldn't do it with tacos too.

    Why not Toyota???

he new switches are flat, older ones, like the taco, are rounded (not flush with the trim)

the switch istelf has the "two position" feeling. You would need the 4runner module to get the electronic board (like $350) and then find 3 more switches from newer camry/taco/etc to have the "auto" button that's on the driver's dise.

The scion might work, I'd have to check.

Easiest is probably to remove the board and make a circuit using polyswitch to close the relay when the motor starts to force the window. The main challenge is having the switch "click" half way, before going full on.

Yea that's definitely where it comes in handy most. Backup sensors won't do you anything in that situation.
