Bought my truck a couple of months ago (2014 - Offroad 4x4) - I am completely happy with the purchase except for one very important item. The front seats are really really uncomfortable. I have tried every possible combination of both the seat and steering wheel and cannot find anything that works. Im 6' and 170#'s. At this point I have to either find a solution i.e.. re upholster or Sell the truck. Any ideas and or opinions are more than welcome and does anyone else have this issue ?

    Cheers

Hmm, don't have a problem with mine and I have a decent amount of seat time (11k miles in less than 5 months).

I'm actually your exact same build. About 6' 170 and have never had a problem with the seats. Only put a couple thousand miles so far, but have actually commented a few times at how much I like them.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
If it were me and I loved the truck other than the seats, selling would be my last option. I personally would invest in stone real nice seats and replace them. It might be a little costly, but you can get exactly what you want, then you live everything about the truck.

But since no one else agrees with you, you should just live with it.

What seems to be the problem with your seats?

I'm the same build and like them like others have stated.

Mine are comfy, I have no problem with the seats other than my drivers side seat is squeaky?! My '09 didn't have that problem.

My seats are comfy I just bang my legs every time I get into the truck on the steering wheel. Wish it raise higher or the seat would lower.

I'm coming from a 2010 F150, so I'm sure I just need to get used to the reduced space.

I have the base access cab with the fold flat passenger seat and my wife and I love the seats in the truck. I don't know about the TRD sport seats if that is what you are referring to.

I had the same issue; I couldn't get comfortable after I first bought the truck and was having bad back pain even on really short trips.

I eventually found a sweet spot, pulled the lumbar support all the way in (no support) which helped because the lumbar support is about 2 inches too high to actually do anything, and lastly, ripped the covers off my seat and added about an inch of high density memory foam material (bought a cheap memory foam topper at walmart and went to town on it with an electric knife) and stuffed the bottom of the seat back and top of the seat cushion.

I don't know how much it helped, but after about 5000 ass miles on the truck, the seats started to get more comfortable and don't bother my back anymore.

For a 30,000 dollar truck though, would power seats really have been that much to ask? I see the price creep in these trucks over the last few years and wonder where all that money is going...to more cheap plastic? hmm...

My 13 TRD seats are comfy for short trips but anything more than 5-6 hours and my back and hip start to hurt.

Although many other TRD owners love their seats, I completely agree with you about the lack of any comfort in these seats. The seat bottom is pitched too far downward, toward the seat back, creating a wedge like seating position. Back pain is the result. I did take foam and shoved it in between the cushion and spring. Then, I installed a Clazzio leather seat cover. Overall, the comfort is better, but eventually, I will have to take the seat somewhere to have the bottom lengthened and re-shaped.
