    Latest word on the engine build is that there should be an update on Monday, and the engine should be ready to ship next week.......

    Unrelated note. Lucario Runner and i have been working with Dezod to get some cam choices available for us. From a simple bolt in set, to the more aggressive profiles. :thumbsup:

    Took me around 3 days but I read the whole thread front to back haha. I work for cummins and build engines daily. From little 3.3 b series to 50 litre v 16 cummins on frac Rigs. Pretty awesome seeing your attention to detail and passion for building it. Keep up the solid work my friend. I was thinking bout gettin a side project going on an older truck. Now I wanna buy another yota and build a 4.0 haha.

    Haven't yet started any teardown. Been to busy with work. On a good note though, going to be putting a spare set of heads and Clifford's engine to good work this weekend. Getting specs for cams.

    I also ordered a Whiteline Front sway bar. Need more handling! Next, as far as suspension, will be stiffer rear springs in the rear, from the XR. At least until a possible 4-link setup. As well as a little stiffer up front. Then I need to find upgraded bushings. All in the name of reducing body roll. Which is quite prevalent in the picture which Lucario Runner posted.

    This is the link to the sway bar. Going to be a while before it ships since it is on backorder from Australia. Hopefully it will still be here before the next MSR race in August.

    I am as well! However, being that there won't be any overlap between the two, it definitely won't have that "nasty" lope sound to it. It should still sound different.

    I really appreciate the kind words Bowhuntercoop. :thumbsup: Maintaining (or trying to) a strict level of attention to detail, is very costly. That in and of itself creates a lot of mental stress. Coupled with a project that juuuuuuuuust can't seem to get finished, which has lasted for about 6 years now. Fortunately, I have still been able to go out and enjoy the hard work and experience something which is extremely rare. Racing a truck on a road course. A truck which used to be lifted on 35's. Doing that with friends. Let's not forget the perks of racing people in their cars who have to work harder to race against a truck. We motivate them. ;)

    Custom for now. Not once we get the profiles in place. I am not doing this for a one off set. I am doing this for the community of Tacoma owners. To be 100% positive that we can bring forth a set of cams that are straight bolt-in, without having to buy springs and retainers, nor machine work. A mild set of course. For the aggressive set, I already know what needs to be done. Those require a lot of work. Those will make some serious power! The power from the styles which we have researched so far, is very impressive still. Once we do some calculations, I will know how excited to be. :)

    Buy you must. It is your Destiny!

    That is the plan! Hopefully it can stay that way. Those some of those drivers need some more advanced schooling. :devil:

    couple of the guys i've wheeled with have those and love them. I would get one, but i'm pretty sure my shackle hangers are already to bent for it to fit.

    Currently in the search for poly bushings, to replace the gushy rubber ones. I have done some looking and found some, but there doesn't seem to be a master kit anywhere. Some places have body bushings, some control arm, and others have rear suspension. The places which have the rear suspension bushings (All Pro) don't show the metal sleeves that usually come with the replacement bushings. Maybe someone on here has a better place to look, or more knowledge on the subject?
