August 3rd is my appt. Geez.....nice lady that answered the phone. She said the alignment doesn't have to be within 30 days of the appt. Will head to Scotty's tomorrow morning.

And if it's a re-inspection, and the suspension setup hasn't changed, then you don't need the alignment..

When I did my first inspection they didn't even look at my alignment papers. Just said if I had it done it was enough. And I paid $160 for that alignment

My fiance said the inspectors should get paid no less than $15/hr.

    Edit:
They have 4 main inspectors and a supervisor and the supervisors supervisor. :D Then the two that answer the phone. Guarantee the two sups are making $60k+ and they just hired more inspectors. You also have to take into account the taxi revenue they bring in, which is more per vehicle.

Do the recon inspectors do taxi inspections? I know they do some of the work out of the same building, but thoght it was a seperate inspector. And yeah if 4 inspectors plus 2 sups and 2 phon ladies , then I don't see at all how the recon office can profit. Even if they do the taxi inspections. Unless it's like I said and the city pays for it with tax money and pockets the profits.

The last idea sounds like what the city and county would do.

I went to Scotty's at 7:45 am this morning, was first in line and they finished it in 15 mins. Paid and went to Anna Millers for breakfast before heading to work. Pure win today!

the recon inspectors are also in charge of districts areas of Safety inspectors . so on top of Recon the office is also in charge of overseeing Oahu Safety inspectors/ stations/ complaints etc.

Recon/safety office is so outdate its crazy! Oahu the biggest county and their Motor vehicle division works out of trailers. how are people of oahu suppose to take RECON AND SAFETY serious.

That's part of Nates math, no overhead for use of land or building.
The whole recon thing is a joke. It's just a way to make money for the C&C.
P.s. Anybody notice the stupid extra charges on your cell phone bill? Times that by the million or so people on Oahu. Fat revenue!

I've been complaining to sprint forever about the $6 they charge me a month for the roll out of their 4G network. I keep telling them they can't charge me for 2 years for a service that should have been out a year ago at the very least. And they keep pushing the release date. They last told me April 2014. And to add insult to injury, they have pretty much stopped maintaining their 3G network so it takes me almost 2 minutes to load this page average. Once my contract is up I will be saying goodby to sprint. The family has been with them since 96' or 97'. I'm especially upset with the new plan arrangement. Looks like they no longer offer contracts, so you pay out the ear for the phone! They change it where you pay for the phone a little on each bill over a year or something. I do not like being forced to change what I have always been doing. Especially when the new way is stupid :p

Next week I have to deal with FHB because they canceled the line of free checking accounts like mine and are going to start automattically charging me $6 a month for services I don't want and won't use.

In the end, everybody is out to get our money

I've had a friend who let his hot gf take it to recon and passed. Not sure if the hotness distracted the inspector but he got it without being the one to take it in.
