Just wondering who all has/ has had a Honda Accord. I'm looking into a nice 2004 EX-L 5-Speed to daily drive. Love it? Hate it?
I originally wanted a Civic but the Accords I've test drove are soo nice.

Im not too familiar with the '04's, but I had an '06, and now have an '11. Love them. The 11 has great performance, and is a great drivers car.

Good to hear. The one I'm seriously considering has 147k on it- which is more miles than I wanted

If the price is right you can't go wrong. It still feels tight, unlike some other cars at 75000 miles.

I have a 2007 with a 130,000 miles with a v6 and its the best 4 sedan I have owned. It has taken a beating this winter with the potholes (2 blown tires with very low miles and 3 bent rims) but still very tight and solid. The gas mileage is my only complaint which is about 25. I use cruise control everywhere and I a very conservative driver. The car is very well maintained.

If that's the car in the link, the only thing you should have to have serviced soon, are the rear brakes, and serpentine belt. Engine has a timing chain, so that's nothing you need to worry about.

I had 1998 4cyl 5speed i daily drove for a few years, it never gave me any issues, just basic maintenance. If you ever do have issues parts are dirt cheap and available. When i sold it it had 185k miles. The resale on them is retarded easy, even the old ones, i listed it for a few hundred over kbb price and it sold in 2 hours with no headaches. The younger kids like to rice them out and adults want a cheap reliable driver.

Had a 2002 value pkg with the 4cyl and AT as a commuter car. Bought it in '06 and sold it in'10. Loved it; easy to work on (never had to do anything but routine maintenance), and dependable as hell. Driving daily 84 mile round trip commute between Palmer and Anchorage I averaged 25-27 MPG. If my wife wasn't hell bent on not having an "extra" car sitting around (in addition to my three trailers, ATVs, etc) i'd have kept it and still be DDing it today.

OP, you can't go wrong with a Honda, unless of course it hasn't been maintained, which is the case with any used car.

I've had 4 Honda Accords over the years and am currently driving a 2013, which is worlds apart from the earlier models.

Both my kids drive a Honda and have had no issues, but the key is keeping up on the maintenance. My daughter had a 05' till a tree crushed it in a strong storm, but she liked it so much she bought an 06'. The car has a great rep!
