I have a 2013 dcsb with chrome badges that I want to take off and plasti dip black

    How do those come off?

    Thanks!

Silver truck with black badges should look slick,
I'll post pix when I'm done

warm the badge up with a hair drier, or heat gun (but be VERY careful)

use dental floss and use it in a sawing action.

remove excess glue from badge and truck with (insert your preferred glue removal formula)

    plastidip

put double sided foam tape on and cut out around lettering.

have a friend help you by standing back and letting you know if the badge is square and center. or use a sharpie and measure

    Drink beer

Most just mask around them, spray, pull the masking, and clean up the painted areas with a toothpick.

I just tape a square around it and spray. The extra comes off pretty easy with a toothpick.

    Getting there...
I did mine on the truck. Clean the area and the badge, dry, tape, spray, peel.

And if you don't like it, spray some rainx bug&tar remover on it and let it soak for 2 min and you can rinse it off with a garden hose...

It should be just fine after a few days of curing. Maybe a wash right after would damage it if you were rough. I washed mine right after i dipped, just be gentle with the scrubbing action.

Ps i masked in the same exact way
