    Thanks Craig!

Hell if I know, head came apart, put a 3" hole in it. Found rockers and other internals on the catch pan under the motor. My guess is shitty quality in the head.

Also, does anybody have an ultragauge in decent shape their willing to part with? im getting fed up with the payment system they have going on, i honestly feel like im getting scammed. from what i gather on here its a good company making a good product, but i just don't get good vibes from this, and id feel a lot better just giving someone some cash for one.

Yeah. Dealer didn't wanna cover it since I had a header on it. Luckily the new head service manager is a family friend for the past 15yrs so he pulled some strings and got it covered kinda under the rug.

Yeah I hope it doesn't happen again but if it does I'll be pulling another loan out and dropping a decent ls2 in it. 450whp In a car that weighs 2500lbs will be fun

how they figure a header could cause a head to grenade is beyond me..... its not like your running 30 pounds of boost and then coming in because you blew the head up

They don't think the header caused the problem dude. Its a warranty voiding part. It effects emissions (or so they say).

interesting... didnt think a bolt on like a header would void a warranty, unless its like the Shorty headers where you have to have your factory cats welded to them or something

Its just that way with pretty much all auto makers. I know most, if not all, headers void GM warrantees

Lol. I don't blame them, its a lot of expense in parts and it bends them over to do all the labor.
But i'm damn glad they took care of it for you. I hope all goes well. I really wonder what happened...

probably just a casting defect, it does happen from time to time... although hopefully it didn't fubar anything else on its way out... ive sen what chunk of metal in an engine will do, and its not pretty... and usually make people bleed green afterwords

dude... that seriously just gave me a flashback to when i was 8 or so.... my dad would take me with him to my mother's sisters house, as her husband raced dirt late models and occasionally in the stock division... my dad was their chief mech/ machinist.... i still remember the day they grenaded their motor with the supercharger on it... the loudest bang i have ever heard in my life....

I just got my new one and had full intentions of selling the old one....then my dumb ass slammed the door on the old one:

Fortunately it is just the screen and i can buy a replacement screen and then sell it.
