I am liking them a lot so far! So much more comfortable, they do sit a tad higher, I'm 5'11 and it's fine but if you are 6'2 plus it may be too much

Install was pretty dang easy, just grind off one foot from the old chair and swap on the new chair, I just bolted the one foot that was swapped because I can't weld. It should be fine.

So is the hatred for Duratracs from personal experience or from what you've heard?

I have C rated Duratracs and they are amazing in all conditions, they out perform my old KM2's and BFG AT's off road for the terrain I drive on.

At 12k miles they look barely worn and perform like new.

And cannot be matched on the asphalt from most other companies especially BFG.

I enjoyed my KM2's over the BFG AT for sure but they only lasted just over 30k

As far as sidewall failures it really comes down to using your head when off roading and not going beyond your vehicles equipment. I have not heard that the sidewalls just blow out when used for their intended purpose level.

Duratracs are an aggressive AT very street friendly tire not a hard core rock crawler tire, hence why Goodyear makes the MT with Kevlar for that type of off roading.

Junk yard! Wrench a part a bit north of Austin, they were 37 a piece

Only seats out there and they happened to be in pretty dang good shape.

They already jacked the cluster out of the truck so clue how many miles on it. Came out of a 2000 sr5 4runner. But I don't have a center console which is a little strange. I think I'm going to bud a cooler :)

I loved my duratracs before I got new tires because I'm brother wanted them, but everything I threw at them they stood up to it and did great.

I've had mine for only a few months but I've had no problems at all so far (knock on wood), and they have performed excellently both on and off-road for me. Granted, I'm definitely not a hard core all out rock crawler or anything like that.

They're good for what they're made for, but sidewalls are weak.

Not my personal experience but have seen and my buddy's have seen too many for me to even consider running the duratracs. I wheel in the south where there are lots of tree roots, sharp rocks, and more often than not some soupy ass mud. They do not clean out worth a damn at all in mud, I know they are an at but in reality they are still an offroad tire. I wouldn't say I hate them but they are not on the list of tires I would look at when buying. Much better tires put there for the money. The only thing that they have going for them is they are quiet and have 30 miles of siping to them so snow and rain performance are higher than your avg at or mt and more on par with a street tire. I will admit they are great for an at they are great in the dirt and perform well in most situations.

Also if your not pushing the limits of yourself as a driver and your vehicle your not having all the fun to be had.

I wheel in the south too, and haven't had said problems. I don't really test the sidewalls because I don't rock crawl and don't have to air down too often, so I can't argue there. But mine clean out fine in the mud considering they're not a mud terrain. You're right they're not super swampers but way better than any other AT I've seen personally. But to each there own. These work just fine for me. That's why they make more than one kind of tire.

Went for a little adventure today got some mud on the ole tires. New suspension is performing like clockwork, or something close to it. Hopefully be getting a bumper in a week.
