I just had an ARE Mx series cap installed. I also had the carpet bed installed. We intend to use our new addition to take our cats with us on weekend trips. I hope our cats can adjust? Please, all you animal owners out there let me know what you've done to help your pets adjust. Also I would like to see how tacoma owners have outfitted the inside of their truck caps?

Thanks. I did a small test this afternoon. I put them in the back with me for 10 minutes. So far they seem ok. What about litterbox and food? I will put Velcro under the litterbox for traveling.

Looking at the combo you have (2013 DCSB with ARE MX), but am concerned that it will not fit in my garage. What is the max height, accessories you added and how do you like this combination? Good luck with the cats.

Cats aren't like dogs. They aren't going to like it back there very much.

Somthing that helps is to put a blanket or something in the back that you use that has your scent on it. That will help them calm down a little bit but of course evry animal is different.

While driving they'll be in the cab i'm assuming? That would be the route I'd go, should make them feel much more comfortable. I don't know if your shell has a pass-through window to match your sliding back glass or not but that might be nice too.

Here's my parents and their chihuahua with his Doggles on.

    ^^^This

Get one of those big hopper feeders and a couple water bowls. They'll be all set.
