As of today my schedule does not allow for me to make it to Moab, I was going to announce earlier last month that things weren't looking good but I still had some hope. That hope is now gone as I didn't even get my bday on the 31st off :( gotta make sacrifices to stay at this new station I'm working at now :pout: next year I'll have atleast long travel in the rear and a RTT tho! ;)

Yep that's correct I guess one upside for the 4runner, I got these for the meantime to help with load carrying ability since I don't have the cash for new coils all around. They'll also bring me back to pre sag height

Yea I haven't a lift just yet but I do have a '99 so I get about an inch higher than the rest of the 3rd gen runners. I bought the air bags because even though I don't get any real lift at least I can carry junk without sagging.

Last time I had four people in the front with the back full of junk the rack with some stuff and a dirt bike hanging off the hitch. I knew this was going to make almost any set up sag at least a little bit but on every drive way I was scrapping the dirt bike carrier. When I had this set up I went to superstition mountain and got there around 2 in the morning without lights. We were sort of lost and looking for the group while driving around 30-40mph, and sure enough we drove straight into a ditch about a foot wide. I was paying attention to the road but since I only had the stock lights I couldn't see too far up so when I finally saw the ditch I knew I wasn't going to be able to stop in time. I hit the thing with full force and my truck bounced hard knocking my UltraGauge and windshield phone mount off the glass. When I got out to inspect the carnage I was super surprised that my dirt bike carrier and hitch were 100% fine, the straps on the bike came loose a bit but that was all. There was also no damage to the truck and it still drove straight. I've got to say I love my 4Runner

Well that works them you should be good. The sliders will save you ass most of the time lol

I can see why you got the airbags lol

Isn't that for a 4th gen??? The fix for the 3rd gens where to put the 99 tall springs in lol so he is kinda out of luck lol so airbags are a good choice lol

nope..... ive thrown stock fj springs in 3rd gen runners a few times brings it to about 1 inch of lift. which is sweet looking when its stock up front and a little weight in the back= perfect poormans rear lift kit lol

but in his instance^ would beat the hell out the airbags

Haven't looked too much into fj springs but I know that when I replace any of the shocks or coils I'm going to replace all but at the moment I don't have the funds for a lift so it'll have to wait. Aside I want to see what a stock 4Runner can do in moab with some modifications

I'm betting even the stock rugged fails would hook up just fine on the inappropriately named slickrock.

Well they cost me $50 and the wiring is temporary. Very ghetto for my standards. My standards are high though. Some guys do it like this for a permanent install.
