From what I know, aftermarket isn't covered... but I don't know much. Still, a stock used Taco will sell for next to or more than new prices, so they should be giving you a very good price.
They will indeed lowball, but replacement cost is going to be 24 - 29k minimum, and it's easy to prove that - just look at Brady's ads.

One thing I don't understand and will for sure bring to point is, if I had a compressor and work lights for my job site in my truck they are covered, so why wouldn't a compressor and lights that are bolted down NOT be covered?

Read your policy to see if it covers accessories/add on's. Mine covers up to $5000 without underwriting an agreed value. I think most will cover some level of add on's.

You might PM bulhas. Different situation, but his truck was pretty modded and when it was totalled, he fought with insurance about it. Wouldnt hurt to have more info on your side.

I'm sorry to hear this man. I never really thought that people can get away with stealing a vehicle nowadays. It pisses me off. Anyways, I hope you can work things out with insurance so they don't short you! Good luck

    Thanks for the support y'all.

This wasn't CONFIRMED to be Tallon's rig, but some of the similarities are striking. I will be on the lookout in the Olympia area, but please continue to be vigilant and optimistic. :)

    Hey y'all,
First off I would like to say thx for all the comments and support most of all thx to my good friend Benson X for doing alot of leg work on my behalf...
Sadly there is still no word on my truck, and at this point I have fought a hard fight up hill both ways and settled w my ins company.... Unfortunately thx to my divorce have decided against buying another taco at this point.
On a positive note I am down but never out! I have acquired my next set of wheels! It's an 88 4runner, sas, geared n locked...This way I can stay active in all of our PNW outings, I've made to many good friends n many more memories! Thx again everyone

    RIP

So what happens if in a few months they find your truck or what is left of it ? Do you get it back or is gone to the insurance companies

Thats retarded. Can't trust to leave your vehicle anywhere these days. In the past I sent receipts to insurance for all the aftermarket parts on one vehicle and the company covered that stuff too. It made a big difference since I had a few thousand in parts there. Not sure if it would work the same for every company though...

Out of curiousity, how did someone go about stealing it? Winched onto a flatbed or something?
