Hey NoRemorse did you ever figure out the issue with your CV angles and extra hight?
Could you take a picture and post of your front shocks were the bottom of the spring rides on the shock.

I never got response yet from the salesman at the dealership re: the prior owner and if he changed the coil spring. Both my coils are seated perfectly on the alum coil seats. Here is a pic I took this weekend after installing my new extended stainless brake lines. You can see the coil seated in there too.

Well there u go glad I could help.
I have no idea why that popped into my head last night especially when everything was done and ready to go but I'm happy it did now and not later. I had been thinking of your issue during install to c what would cause your issue and that's probay why.
Now they come back off flipped and hopefully my rims will be here today so I can drive onto the next Mod.

That's why I love this forum. Kinda a little ticked though. Last guy I took to I specified please confirm the strut was assembled correctly. In his defense and mine there is a notch in both sides, so I could see how it could happen. Can't wait to get this fixed so I can order my custom Alcans for the rear lol.
Thanks again, that was a big help.

    No problem.
I'll be ordering the same this week once the rims and tires get on as it's sitting on jack stands right now. Then going to do some coil overs in the front in about a month once I get back from tennesee. Have u found a good source for the springs.

I am almost ready to pull the trigger on this kit. I plan on getting Alcans too. Sandjunkie told me he had Alcan include a "torque spring" to help with axle wrap. I tried to find some info about this on the interwebs, but was unable.... maybe he can she some light on this.

For those of you who already have this kit, anything else I need to order besides the following:

    *RCD Kit
    *Alcan leaf pack
*Extended Stainless Steel Brakes lines (do I need/should I get front and rear extended lines)

    Thanks in advance!!

I'm using stock brake lines and leafs w/blocks for now. Rides great. The only addition I did was LR UCAs. I didn't like how it drove with low caster.

Good to know... thanks. I didn't think this kit would affect caster. I might have to budget in some LR UCAs then I guess. With the brake lines, I figured I might as well get the extended now and also with stainless steel, I have heard you get a more responsive braking system since the steels don't expand under pressure... ?

I prefer high 3s or low 4s for caster with the larger tires. I find the steering too twitchy with caster any lower. No way to get that with stock UCAs. Not required for the lift, I just like how it drives with higher caster.

I've heard the same about stainless brake lines, but would think the difference would be minimal. I just can't justify the expense.

I appreciate the comments wobble. I had another Tacoma with a 2.5 inch suspension lift and it drove pretty well, I thought. Then I got LR UCAs installed and was like "wow, this is awesome". LOL. That Tacoma was lifted by the dealer so I had never driven a stock Tacoma. It was twitchy on the freeway prior to the LR UCAs.

I will reconsider the brake lines... I just figured since I am going to have a shop do the install, I might as well have as many things as I want done in one shot. My hope is that by doing that, I won't be nickel and diming my wallet as much - but I also know that will still happen. Damn TW! ;o)
