OOoo, nice! I can't wait to see what you think of your 35s with the 5.29s. I'm still waffling between 4.56s and 4.88s for my rig. If the 5.29s make you want 37s, then that will push me to stick with 4.56s. (to force me to keep 33s:p)

supposedly, 4.88s and 35s is almost JUST like 4.10s and 31s with a manual tranny that is.

    4.56s with 33s is like 4.10s and 31s about with a manual.

You'll be over geared a bit with 4.88s

if that helps at all :p haha

im over gearing because Frankenstein isn't my DD any more and having the extra slow go will be fun and torque since he is a fat pig :p haha

Since I have a 2nd gen with an auto my experience may be slightly different, but there have been no downsides to my rig being overgeared. I have 4.88's on 33's and my mileage was unaffected. I have more torque and it's a lot more fun to drive.

The only downside I could possibly think of is that I run at 2700 rpm at 75mph so the exhaust is a lot louder than when I ran at 1900 rpm at 75 mph. I still have the stock exhaust so the wind noise of the truck is still louder than the exhaust but if I had an after market exhaust it may be annoyingly loud at the higher rpm. Like I said though the higher rpm didn't affect my mileage at all though.

Man, you guys crack me up. Hopefully, I'll see how everything works out when we wheel together this summer!

I love my 4.56s with 35s.. More because i don't want to spend the money to regear but it's not bad at all.

Lol, with you being auto I figured you already had 4.88s on your rig. I hoping 4.56 will make me happy enough for now on 33's. I would go with 4.88s but being at 3k rpms at 70 doesn't sit well with me

I'm not worried about the noise I can live with that but if I'd get similar mileage I might as well go 4.88s. It's my DD and half of my commute is on the interstate at 65-70 mph.

Battery was totally dead. Wouldn't even turn on the tester at the store. Bought a new yellow top. Posts are different so gonna have to change my wiring a bit.

Already on 33x10.50s with 4.10s. I know 4.56 is the norm for 33-35. 35s are in the future but it'll be bout 2 years till that happens.

Almost done. Just need one side done. I moved my second battery cable to the front terminal and the winch line. Other wires stayed on top. Looks better already.

Your rig is a heavy bitch so the 5.29s should be perfect.

Honestly the 4.56s with the 35s almost feels the same as the 4.10s with 33s. Not that big a deal to me since my shit isn't a daily driver. ... Now if I go to 37s this will change.

I've said this once and monte would probably agree. My 35s look like 33s to me... I should have cut more for 37s
