Welcome! It is nice to see the Chicago Land thread alive. There are so many tacomas around, there is no reason for it not to.

    You got it!

I would probably be down depending on which weekend it was. I couldn't do the 14th.

Pretty sure the 28th is out for me.

Saturdays work best for me, but I was thinking making a weekend out of it...maybe even heading down Friday night. Summers campground it really nice and only about 15 mins away, or you can always camp at the park. No pool there though :D

BTW-we are still on for Saturday?

Front; up to you. I did. Rear yes, if you're buying a new leaf pack. Has to be able to flex and articulate.

I've been told the rule of thumb is that if you are lifting the rear any more that 2" u should put them on the back. 3" up front you'll be fine ....but it's always up to you.

I have 3 " in front I didn't put them on mine. I changed my leaf pack in the back to give me 3" so I had them put on.

Also....if your new lift is going to consist of aftermarket front coilovers, do yourself a favor and get the single 1/4" spacer for the drivers side front. You'll more than likely need it and I think it's only $25.

Search on the suspension forum. "taco lean"

Yup. It sure will. They come with a small rake making them sit a little higher in the rear. 3" up front and 2" in the rear will level you out.

Yeah definitely go see Mark ( NwiTaco). He does great work. A few of us have had work done by him. Great guy, great work, great prices....what more can I say.

What size tires are you thinking?

Do you have a spare at all right now? I have several Toyota pattern wheels and tires in the shed. Even have a brand new Tacoma spare, still has the little nibs on it :D

I am a ways away from Rockford. I live just over the border in Indiana, but in reality, its not that bad a drive at all. And it will be worth it, too.

You have gotten good advice hear regarding brake lines. Best bet is to get extended lines for the rear, they're only like $40 and worth the peace of mind. There are other options to get away with using the stock lines for the time being, the bracket on the axle can be tweaked a bit to allow enough slack to work with a mild with a mild lift, but you really are better off getting new lines.

I haven't seen anyone mention the exact part that would bother you if you found out you needed them. UCAs (Upper Control Arms)

There will always be other things that you "should" have when you lift a truck. The one that stinks is the UCA. You can get by without it. Once you lift your truck up the geometry of your suspension changes. The higher you go the more difficult it can be to get a proper alignment with stock UCAs. With that being said your truck isn't going to explode if you don't get them. They are something though that you should know about before you decide to lift your truck.

As far as a Tacoma goes things that you "should" get with a 3" lift.
    UCA ($400+)
Center Bearing Drop ($15) I didn't use or need one
    Extended Rear Brake lines ($40-$50)
