A while back I noticed that a light push on the rear bumper would make the suspension squeak. Didn't really notice it much after that, but that may have been mostly due to cold weather and keeping the windows closed.
This weekend, after towing my small camper, I really noticed it driving down moderately bumpy roads with the windows open. Sounds like a cheap motel with every bed squeaking!
I had the same issue after a few years on my '01, but it went away after the frame was replaced in '08 (springs were part of the replacement) and never seemed to reoccur.

I'll be taking it in for the 5K service in the next couple days - thought I'd bring it up.
I know there was a TSB in '05 for this, and the fix was different silencer pads. Has this still not been fixed?

Check and see if the leafs are rubbing on the spring clamps. Occasionally the leafs can walk out a bit and make some noise.

Clean them. They will squeak with every dirt road traveled. I wash my leafs once a week or I get it.

Yup! I had this happen after my AAL, a little adjustment to the clamp and all gone.

One time I pulled a super heavy load like way way overloaded my truck and it's done it ever sense then. It doesn't bother me though. I could easily fix the issue but I'm lazy

Well, I took it in for the 5k service and asked them to fix the squeak.

5088 FOUND REAR LEAF SPRING INSOLATORS SQUEAKING. LUBED UP CONTACT POINTS AND NOISE IS GONE AT THIS POINT.

By the time I got home it was squeaking just as bad as before. Just getting in & out it squeaks.

It's a 45 minute drive to the dealer, so I'm not going to rush back. Guess I'll try to track it down myself.

    5100's all around. Front's set at 1.75" 265/75/16 Duratracs.
Yeah I went to the dealer for the same issue and they kept giving me the run around. It's almost an hour to my dealer so I told them that's the last time they work on that truck. I have always worked on my own but I threw them a bone on service since they gave me a pretty good deal. I'll just start working on my own unless it's a warranty repair from now on.

My leafs squeak over every little pot hole. I know I read something about putting pond liner in between the leafs and that should stop the squeak. I just need to find time to take the leafs off.

Wow, what a pain in the ass. My Gen 1 did not do this in the entire 230k miles I rode on the original leafs. That explains why it doesn't squeak right after I get a car wash.

This truck is half the truck my Gen 1 was. Half as much more money and half the truck. Sounds like a goddamn squeaky tinfoil swingset from China. Cheap ass truck.

Just had my 2014 with 3K miles start squeaking yesterday. Took to the dealer today and it began raining on the drive there. Yes, the rain lubricated the springs and the squeaking stopped making me a liar at the dealer. What adjustments are needed to the leaf springs. 3,000 miles is ridiculous when I live in the city and they were in no way subjected to dirt.

    Hi all.

I got a can of Toyota Flexi-Film for my latches and hinges lubrication I do as part of my 6 month services. I noticed my leaf springs where squeaking so I got my girl friend to bounce in the box while I was underneath and I found the squeak coming from the plastic bits between the leaves and the clamps. I gave all 12 a shot of the Flexi-Film and the problem was solved - so far, anyway ... (only one was squeaking but I did them all anyway)

    Cheers
    Ray.

Mine was squeaking last week and it turned out to be the spring on the spare tire mount under the truck. I hit it with some pb blaster and it went away. Dont know if you are having the same problem but its worth a try.

My 2014 squeaked after the first rain at 2K miles. I figure its a 'feature' they held over from my 2005 model with 207K on it- Falls into the 'WTF Toyota' category.

I hit the spring with some shots of Corrosion X HD (lasting coating) and it hasn't happened since. PIA for a $30K truck

Not again! I just got rid of my 2011 Tundra today and picked up a 2014 Taco DCSB. My Tundra started squeaking at about 25,000 and drove me crazy at slow speeds. I hope my Tacoma doesn't start up, but now I know the cure, I hope.

i bought my 14 taco in december 2013. I had it for 3 months and it started squeaking. I just had my 6 month maintenance done (only 3k miles) and told the dealership about the squeak. They used some lithium grease and the squeak went away for about 2 weeks...came back yesterday....Now, i have to drive another hour to my dealership and have it taken care of....There's only 3200 miles on my truck....Even my old shitbox 2001 dodge dakota with 130k miles didn't make a peep.

I should have updated this a while ago --
After a day or two of squeaks, I guess the lube they put on must have worked its way in, as I haven't noticed anything since - even after hauling my camper a couple hundred miles, which seemed to be the trigger last time.
Keeping my fingers crossed that it will stay quiet for a while.

After a second trip to the dealer in July I gave up as it was an hr drive there and the squeaking stopped. I finally went yet again today to a local dealer. It squeaked all the way into the garage only to have them tell me 6 hrs later they couldn't hear it. When they drove up to return the car, I heard it 100 yds away. After forcing a test drive and literally driving 50 ft I made them believers and they are replacing my lead pack under warranty.
