U would be surprised what u can run with a stock 4runner. Hope you don't mind a little damage. But we've been pretty good about no damage. Just let me know the next time ur in the area. And I'll show you around browns. Your more the welcome to ride along too.

Agreed. And we go down to the general bend/Sisters/Fort Rock areas fairly frequently. AND we have members that come up from Bend, Salem and Eugene so connecting with them would be paramount.

ITS THAT TIME LADIES AND GENTS!!!!

Our annual TSF campout. Were a little late on setting up the dates.

so from now till sunday the 18th at midnight, we will discuss dates. Im leaning towards June 27-30(fri-sun), But others can venture an opinion. Please keep general BS to our threads so we can norrow down the days easier.

I plan on going, but do not plan to lead nor do i know if all my parts will be in for my truck to even wheel. But i will be up for campfire steak 345 times baked potatoes and some adult beverages.

I may or may not have a bachelor party for a friend that weekend depending on if the other guys can make a decision about dates and locations  I'll figure things out by end of week.

I'm totally booked out for vacation time, so I'd be rolling in Friday after work... going to see if I can work from Hillsboro on Friday to cut the commute.

This year I'm going to cut down on some of the responsibilities I took on last year. If someone else wants to be the on-scene master of ceremonies and stuff, be my guest.
Unless someone takes that role, I'm going with the following:
Grouping is by grade school cafeteria rules - hang with your buds or find a free spot.
If this is your first time out or you are looking to learn, don't plan on us having designated teachers or a group that will go as slow as you want. Come as a passenger or pre-plan to roll with a group that wants to do easy trails.

As for camping, Rob organized the spot and I handled cash. Some folks were overly generous, but we had a few kept dodging me when I asked them to pay the $3 or $5 it took to cover their share of the campsite. I'm not dealing with that again. It kind of chafes when you have money for gas, but the well runs dry when it comes time for helping the group or helping kick out a few measly bucks to the ODF for an AMAZING wealth of land you get to use.

On a happier camping note, though, did we still want Brown's for a camp spot or did we want to try a less organized spot that might be more central to the trails?
I don't have a place in mind, nor do I know the rules of setting up a random camp spot in TSF.

Mike, I found what appears to be a large landing centrally located persay to most trails. If not, lyda camp is an ok spot. It's way out, only thing is no bathroom.

Right on, I was trying to find info for Lyda camp, too, but didn't find much.

I was wondering if there's anything out near Ample & Alluring, or over towards Ben Smith Loop?

    EDIT:
Found the rules on dispersed camping
