The cables from the Batt. go to the starter, where the cables tie into the starter is the connections he was talking about (I think)

The internal connections to the starter motor. They often get super dirty. On like 30 bucks or less for new ones and easy to take apart and install.

ok, but I don't think it has anything to do with the starter. the engine does turnover, but maybe fuel isn't getting to the engine or something. . . . #notamechanic LOL

Ahh okay I was assuming nothing was working as you swapped batteries.

    Could also be spark issue.

oh ok. yeah I see now why u figured that. sorry. yeah the engine definitely turns over with the NEW battery and also unlocks truck with remote, and lights come on, horn works, etc. OLD battery was definitely so dead, nothing worked.

spark plugs, fuel injectors, same thing?

Sounds like your mechanic believes it is fuel related. Why else would he change the fuel pump. :notsure: Swapping out the fuel pump is not a casual endevour.

What are the details on your truck? What year, what engine and transmission? How many miles are on it? Was it starting and running just fine and all of a sudden stop? Or was it gradually having more and more trouble starting?

ok I wouldn't know how to check the spark plugs, and I don't know what a coil pack is.

fuel filter? good question. maybe the last time it was changed was maybe when I got my last oil change. not too long, I think around the beginning of this year

just a standard 3RZ. I have NGK wires lol..
    heres the link:

Yea its just a Strip with stickiness on the back. The LEDS are covered with silicon and are water proof. It has a switch so when i close the hood it turns off. Pretty easy install.. hardest part was getting the switch to fit perfect.

not quite. I think my stepdad told him. I found out over a phone call, it could be that, and maybe my stepdad thought so too/relayed that to mechanic when we dropped truck off. yeah, I hear it's not a "casual endeavor"

details, '03 2.7l AT, I believe 4spd. mileage under 105k. I think it had been starting and running fine. I don't believe I had any issues starting it previously

I used the stock fender hole. I just had to raise it up to like the last couple threads on the bottom of the switch. Super easy install. He has a little video that shows you how to do it. Step by step.

Yea no prob. (you could honestly probably make one yourself for like 20$) but i know how it feels. Only reason I've been able to put any $ into my truck is because i have to deal with a crazy landlord lol. So i get cheap rent..
