    Hello everyone!

I am a graduate student (hopefully not for too much longer) and an avid caver in the south-central Kentucky area. I bought my Taco last summer and just recently began modifying it with small cheap modifications. My current taco is a 2010 access cab SR5 4x4 with a 5-speed. My end goal is to sell this truck down the road and buy a double cab with the idea to turn it into an expedition style rig. I love travelling, driving back roads on sunday mornings (or anytime of day for that matter), and going off road.

If you have any questions, ideas, or invites please don't hesitate!

    Welcome.

I feel ripped off because every time I've been around Mammoth Cave, I haven't been able to go in. Are you in one of those grotto groups that does caving and other things as well?

    Thanks everyone for the welcomes!

I haven't been on a official tour with Mammoth Cave NP in a long time. The last couple times I have been in there were for class fieldtrips. Why were you not able to go in the cave?

I am in the Green River Grotto out of Bowling Green- we do everything from small recreational trips, cave survey, to cave/sinkhole clean ups.

Thanks! It's a slow build, but I already feel the symptoms of a never ending build setting in. :)

    Welcome to TW
I think one of the more interesting caves in Kentucky is Horse cave. Horse cave has alot history to it. It also shows how we can really screw up a cave if not protected. The last time I was there it was cleaned up and well on its way to recovery.
If you are ever near Sweetwater TN you need to visit The Lost Sea cave, if you haven't already, also a neat cave.

I can't actually remember why we weren't allowed in. It was about 2 years ago. Did get to canoe the Green River. I must be the worst canoeer because the past two times I've been canoeing, I've managed to tip it.

Welcome from Monticello, Ky. Have you heard about the cave they found over here in the Slick Ford community. I hear some cavers found a cave that has a room bigger than the Mammoth Cave. They say its pretty tight getting to it though.
