Bigger Tires With Only Billsteins at .75 inch?

    well I could run that with a stock suspension, right? my question is whether raising the front gives me any additional clearance to put bigger tires!

    Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
    Luke is correct. Unless you want to start trimming stuff, 265/75/16 or 265/70/17 is the largest you can fit without rubbing (stock or billies at .85")

    Biggest you would want to go is 33"s but that would still require some minor trimming but nothing a small dremel cant take care of. A lot of people freak out when they hear the word "trimming" but its all really thin plastic that doesnt hurt anything if you cut and remove some of it. I know plenty of people that have trimmed.

    Not to jack thread but kinda on topic.

    Have set of Cooper A/T3 255/75/17's on hold. (Stilll workin' on wheel decision)

    Before lift I will be at 32" (but narrower). It'll be close til I put in a sub 3" lift - probably Billy's in front, new leaf pack in rear. But tire dealer said these 255's'll be on-road worthy enough, to keep me mobile until the lift happens?

    My question is actually more about rubbing in general. All the posts about rubbing I have seen don't really say where exactly most rubbing happens. (Note: In my case (age and budget) not planning on any heavy flexing ever).

    So, do (most common) rubbing issues tend to happen first (with zero or insufficient lift) at the outside fender trim? Or inside the well at the back contours of the well? Or both? -

    There are people with a 4.5 inch backspaced rim with a 2.5 inch lift and 285s with no trimming needed.
