    Ugh, I bet you win.
I am going to vent a little here. I am trying to stay upbeat, but after this last weekend's trip, my vibration, is from 20mph and up and its bad and its really getting to me. I can feel it in my feet and hear it growling. It is worst about 35-40 and again from 65-75. It makes me not want to even own the stupid thing. I am terrible when it comes to something going wrong, when I dont know what it is. I have anxiety because of it, I have a pit in my stomach, and I am losing sleep because I am worried the vibes will make my truck explode or something. I really hate my brain sometimes. Last night I wanted to condemn the driveline, because I think(hope) thats what it is, and at least if I know what it is, I can fix it. Well, I tried to pull my driveline last night, but the hulk must have installed it. I could only get one of the 8 loose. Torque specs say 88#, but there is no way. So tonight I am going to try again, this time with a bigger hammer. Sorry you guys have to read about me building a pearl, and my brain issues.

I didn't take the time to read the whole thread and when your vibration started but at those exact speeds unbalanced tires can make some bad vibrations

Thanks, thats what my dad said too. I have rotated these, but I have had them on about 22k miles, and they have been balanced once, about a year ago. Tomorrow I will bring it to town and have them balanced and see if that helps. I wasnt thinking tires, because it doesnt get bouncy at all like I have experienced in the past with out of balance tires. Hopefully I am wrong.

Side to side, not much. Up and down, if I give it a firm push or pull I can make it clunk where it's hitting the metal of the housing(lack of better terms) Thats what makes me think its driveline.
Also, the warmer the ambient temperature or the longer I have been driving, the worse it is. Also, while driving on the dirt on Sunday didnt change anything, which makes me think it is not tires.

By Friday. they wanted to wait to see how much the leafs settled before adjusting the front. Load up the bed behind the axle and floor it, Probably could pop a wheelie

Balanced tires yesterday, no change. Pulled driveshaft last night, no change. Jacked up the front and spun each tire. Passenger was as quiet as could be, driver, not so much. Me thinks it might be a wheel bearing. Dealer is going to check it out tomorrow when they install my new steering rack.
Now a bit of lol, split my forehead open on the corner of a leaf spring while trying to get the driveline out, they dont give.

It bums me out to type this, and not 100% sure yet, but I may be selling this thing. The wife and I have looked at priorities, and the taco with it's payment just doesnt rank high enough to stay. I dont think I will be able to get as much for it if I sell it complete, so stuff is going to come off. I will have something again though, whether it be a first gen taco or a pretaco, just might be a year or so.
Oh, it might be for sale, but wont be officially until after the trip. I am not missing that.

Man, that sucks. What happened to the wheel bearing lead you were working with?

Edit: sorry, didn't comprehend what you wrote; this doesn't have anything to do with the vibes, right?

No, those are actually being fixed right now. The spiders were toast and took out the carrier in the front diff. The dealer is replacing the diff under warranty, I should get it back today or tomorrow.
I am pretty bummed. I was hoping to have this thing for ever, but it just doesnt make financial sense. We are going to try to have a kid, and our DD is a 2 door civic, which is an awesome car, but its 2 door and has 145k miles. Then we have the taco, and a single cab powerstroke. I want to get a reliable 4 door awd car for the lady, but we cant afford that with the taco payment. So with what I could get on top of what I owe on the taco, and what cash we could get out of the Honda, we should be able to pay close to cash for a good car($20k-ish). I would just get another payment when we pay off the truck, but when we have a kid, we're planning on the lady being able to stay home until the kid starts school. So a new payment wont work.

Lots going on. Glad you got the vibes figured out. And hey, sometimes you gotta ditch the toys for the more important things in life!

Yeah, tough decision for sure, and hell maybe after the trip I'll decide not to sell it. Still have to get a cb... I'm a slacker.

Ha, I'm on my way over to relentless in about an hour to get a bed mount for my antenna to see if mounting in the back of the truck helps with my SWR. I guess I'll know after this weekend.
